A man who was riding an e-scooter has been seriously injured after a crash in Dublin city centre on Thursday morning.
Gardaí are currently on the scene of the incident, which took place on Usher’s Quay.

May 16, 2024 Gardaí confirmed that roads between Mellows Bridge and Fr Matthew Bridge are closed with diversions in place.
Commuters are advised to avoid the route and expect delays.
A spokesperson from Gardaí spokesperson told Extra.ie:
‘Gardaí are currently at the scene of a traffic collision that occurred at approximately 3:20am today, Thursday, 16th of May 2024 on Usher’s Quay, Dublin 8.
‘This collision involved a car and an e-scooter.
‘The rider of the e-scooter, a man aged in his 20s, was conveyed to St James’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained as a result of this collision.
‘Usher’s Quay was closed from Mellows Bridge to Father Matthew Bridge with diversions in place while members attended the scene.
‘This road has now fully re-opened for use.’
