Picked up this bag of grits at the Rice Museum in Georgetown, South Carolina. This is the BEST shrimp n grits recipe – I’ve sampled quite a few!

I prefer to use red and yellow bell peppers because I think they taste better. In addition, I use Creole Seasoning (Tony Chacheres) instead of the hot sauce. Been making this type of Shrimp & grits for well over 10 years and they are great!

I love these grits and I’m a YANKEE! I was converted to these yummy savory grits years back when visiting a NC beach. I love Shrimp and Grits and theirs are perfection!

As a girl from the south, I’ve been cooking grits for nearly 50 years! Palmetto Farms Grits are by far the BEST I’ve ever made or cooked. And the shrimp and grits recipe has made my better half (who’s from California) a huge fan. In fact, he specifically asked that I prepare this recipe for Christmas Eve!

Excellent Shrimp and Grits Recipe! The grits were creamy and had an delectable flavor. I didn’t include the cheese – just saving a few calories! Will definitely pass this recipe to my family.

I eliminated the cheese because of dietary restrictions. Best recipe and every time I find Palmetto grits I buy a bag or two.

I love these grits! I send them to friends and family. To the recipe on the back…..I add about a cup full of sliced grape tomatoes. Delicious! I add them just after the shrimp goes in. You can sprinkle your green onions and some cheddar cheese over the top. It’s a beautiful dish.

This recipe is the BEST shrimp & grits- Ever! I followed the recipe on the back of the grits bag. I don’t want to piss off my N.C. friends,( I once stopped in S.C. for Bar-B-Que & my Aunt in N.C. stayed mad at me for years), but these S.C. grits are great!! So glad I bought a bag heading out of Charleston, in a little country store, going back to Florida. Thank You!

This is my favorite meal. I add 3 hot Italian sausage links removing the casing first and breaking it apart. Cook with bacon and onion then add shrimp. Palmetto white stone ground grits are the best!
