I have an HVAC maintenance plan with Bill Howe, and the technician recommended installing a kickoff sensor to prevent flooding in the attic in case the condensation line ever was obstructed. Fast forward several months later and today that sensor saved me from a flood because it did its job and kicked the thermostat off when it the line became blocked. Very happy with the service I receive from Bill Howe and now use them for all plumbing and HVAC needs.

Dan and Gage replaced 2 gas valves, inspected and ensured apts were up to speed. 100% professional and knowledgeable. I’ll be calling Bill Howe in the future for my plumbing needs.Used Bill Howe another time, and Rigoberto went the extra mile in getting our faucet installed properly.

What should have been a simple project took three separate visits, not because of the technician, but because of product problems which caused delays in waiting for missing parts. My technician was phenomenal. He was skilled, on time, and polite. I will specifically request him the next time I need service of this nature.

I have used Bill Howe for my plumbing and air conditioning needs as of late. They have done an excellent job each time they visited my property for service needs. Recently Nicholas Walker came to inspect our AC unit. He was personable, prompt, and very communicative about what needed to be done with our HVAC unit. He took his time during the inspection and was professional and courteous throughout our interaction. I would highly recommend Bill Howe to friends and family and will be requesting Nicholas should when we need a new HVAC in the future.

I had Bill Howe provide lining services and replace some cast iron with new abs. All their lead plumbers on the job were great (shout out to Mike and Scott). The techs and managers know what they are doing - I never felt like I was being squeezed for money for unnecessary repairs, unlike other plumbing companies. Bull Howe understands their customer needs! They left the job site clean. Would definitely use again for other plumbing related needs!

I have not had a good experience with plumbers so I decided to read reviews and do my home work this time. Last weekend my house had a sudden water leak, called Bill Howe to have a plumber check it and confirmed that there is a leak. Only bad thing was I had to wait until the following Monday for the restoration guys to come in. Monday came, here comes the team of Danny Moreno and his buddy Fernando. Let me tell you about those two, they were professionals. I had so much questions about my water damage at home. Danny and Fernando did not hesitate to answer all my questions, even the stupid ones. Danny advised me to call my insurance and get the ball rolling for my claim. Danny and Fernando were at the house for 5 days straight, making sure that my walls and carpet are getting dry to prevent further damage and everyday I would get an update just so I’m informed on what’s going on and the progress of their work. So to Danny and Fernando, a big thank you. One job is done and on to the restoration part.

Asher arrived on time after giving me a heads-up by phone. He was professional and personable. He installed a new garbage disposal successfully and efficiently. I will definitely request him for future plumbing needs. I was very impressed with the service from Bill Howe Plumbing. From start to finish this was one slick experience from online booking to completion.

It was late Saturday night and while Bill Howe is considerably higher in price than some competitors especially for after hours it was completely worth it for the service I received and the timely fashion that they arrived. Professional, courteous, and informative John called before he was coming, gave me an eta and showed up on time. I can't say enough at how incredibly grateful I am for John Friend my Plumbing and Drain Technician that came out and took care of my water heater. I had just found out at the end of day that my water heater wasn't working and I had a guest that just arrived and needed to shower so it was important to have it working ASAP. Had a tankless water heater installed on our roof. Jason went the extra mile to help us return the old one for credit at Home Depot and have a new one installed. Gabriel did a great job installing the new one. We always use Bill Howe for our plumbing needs.

Without any doubt.. the BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! We had Martin replace our water filter and I have to say i am very pleased with the results. He was very professional, on time. very clean. Very disapointed in service install for a new toilet. They had to come out 3 times before it was fixed right and the third time they still didnt reinstall the cover plate back correctly. They were rude to me saying there was nothing wrong with it and then found that one of the bolts was tighten down. Such a hassle for a simple install with a very high fee I had higher expectations. Will not use them again!

We were very pleased with Bill Howe's workmanship and professionalism of our slab leak restoration. They handled the entire restore project from beginning to end. I highly recommend Chris Sullivan, a plumber with Bill Howe Plumbing. He did a great job replacing my garbage disposal and unclogging a drain in my bathroom. So glad we got a josh as our technician. Josh did an outstanding service on the dishwasher issue and a running commode. He was extremely professional, identified the issue with the dishwasher not draining properly, quickly replaced a gasket in the commode and listened to my concerns and was very respectful. Professional and fast. We already had 3 different contractors out to identify an awful smell emitting from our guest bathroom. No one was capable. Scott identified the potential problem quickly and with the aid of their “smoke bombs” , which are effective. Took him less than an hour. We are happy to hire Bill Howe to do the repair work, especially because their quote was so reasonable!Scott and his partner Louie were excellent! They located the source of 2 leaks in 2 different bathrooms and made the repair the same day. Fast, efficient, professional, and respectful. I would hire Bill Howe again. I highly reccomend Bill Howe Plumbing. They have been my go-to plumbing service for over 30 years.They cleared our sewer line which had stopped draining. At first we suspected a collapsed line, which they determined was not the case using a special camera. They cleared the line and recommended a project to prevent such future happenstance, which we will have them do.If you have any kind of plumbing problem, they are quick, professional, and very reasonably priced.

We got flooded from our upstairs neighbor and the technician who fixed it informed us to request a copy of the plumbing report in order to file an insurance adjustment. It’s been multiple days of calling trying to get this report and constantly getting told someone will call us back. It’s been 3 days and I am still yet to receive this plumbing report. Very unprofessional and extremely unsatisfied with everyone except for the technician that did the repairs upstairs.

There have been 2 guys that have come in to help fix a root problem that I have ( roots growing around my sewage line ) and both gentlemen have been outstanding. I rarely leave reviews for any service but felt compelled to do so here. Like most people I’ve been ripped off by plumbers before. However Justin was prompt, professional, no upsell, and did great work. While I certainly hope I don’t need their services again in the future if I do there’s no doubt who I’ll call. These guys were awesome!!!!! Had a washer and dryer from Best Buy delivered this afternoon and they couldn’t install because the valves on the faucets needed replacing. I immediately called Bill Howe Plumbing. They picked up right away and had a plumber here in less than an hour and a half!!! Tris Coffin was my guy and was awesome!!! Replaced the valves in like 5 minutes, cleaned up the water, played with my chihuahuas and was out in under 20 min. And price was what I expected. Nothing too crazy.Loved the great customer service and genuinely nice plumber who cared about my issue.Will recommend!! Thanks guys!!!!!

I called them after an unmarked and untraced gas line in my backyard was broken. They were able to come quickly and fix the problem. I’ve had poor experiences in the past with contractors so my expectations were low. All I can say is Doug reset the bar for what I should expect. He was knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. He got the job done and my dog liked him. Yes, Bill Howe is slightly more expensive, but I’m ok with that. With anything you can get cheap, fast, and quality, now pick 2 of those. He nailed the fast and quality and personally the peace of mind that gives this homeowner is worth it. I hope I don’t have to call out a plumber again, but if I do I know who I’m calling.

Several weeks ago, we discovered a moisture and mold problem in our master bathroom. We called in a local plumber for an evaluation, bid, and estimated completion date. He needed months to finish the entire job.Then, we call Bill Howe. They arrived later that day, appraised our problems and gave us their bid and far faster completion date. We signed the simple agreement and they began work on the next day.As things progressed,. we did discover some additional problems. Their Team members had immediate and efficient answers to every problem.The new bathroom is beautiful and far more functional. My wife is thrilled.During construction, the Howe Team folks were tidy and conscious of our need to live in their construction site. While we will be happy to see them leave, we were glad that they came, fixed everything so well, so quickly and for less money than their competitions' bid.Howe folks do really know Howe. Their folks will get the job done right, done quickly and done for less money and give you better results.

After another plumbing company tried unsuccessfully to unclog my kitchen sink drain, the plumber said a jetter was needed to clear the drain. The plumber didn't have a jetter, so he suggested that I call Bill Howe but he warned that a jetter is an expensive procedure. I called Bill Howe, and they sent Rob Altimirano. Rob was on time and super professional. When I told him I needed a jetter he said he will try to snake the drain first. He worked HARD for an hour and pulled a ton of grease out of the drain. A month later and the drain remained clear. Rob saved me a lot of money by clearing the drain without a jetter. I highly recommend Rob Altimirano and Bill Howe.

Ron was my technician. I had discovered a leak of a washing machine supply valve on removing a failed washing machine, in preparation for the new machine. I called Howe Plumbing and Ron arrived the same afternoon to have a look and give me a quote. He did not have the parts needed on the truck, so we set up an appointment for the next day (still a day before the new washing machine would arrive). Ron arrive promptly when we scheduled (early in fact), and completed the work within the estimated time frame. Ron is a really nice guy, and answered all of my questions that I asked while he was doing the repair. The repair came out great. I am completely happy with Ron's work and with Howe Plumbing. Five out of five stars.

Best customer service ever! I had a leak in my kitchen sink and they came out the same day to fix it. After a week I called to see if they could replace the sink strainer for one with a different finish. They came out the next day and Allan (our technician made an additional trip to find a strainer that was the best match). And we were only charged for the part - no additional labor! From the service manager, to the receptionist/scheduler, to Allan (our technician) we were given exemplary service. Hopefully we won't need to call for a repair - but if we do, the only company that we would consider is Bill Howe!

Bill Howe is awesome and very reliable! We used their services for toilet installation, valve replacement and some water clean up from a leak. I really appreciate how professional and kind all the employees are. This company holds up to their word and I value that. I Wanted to make sure that the appropriate amount of respect is handed off to Bill Howe‘s technician Scott Bonilla. After this technician excavated our building sewer line and removed all cables that were balled up in our sewer line, he scheduled his concrete guy to finish our back parking spaces cleanly around the new sewer cleanouts that he installed. And he also worked with the city to get it an emergency excavation on their end so that we would have clean sewer line all the way to the City Sewer. He carefully jackhammered inside the unit closest to the last bit of stuck cable around a toilet bend and closet flange and repaired at all. Insured plastic was set up around to contain dust and debris, he worked cleanly, and efficiently. He was on time and communicated well he is a huge asset to this company. Thank you Scott Bonilla!

Dave and Chris called to let me know they were on the way and they arrived exactly when they said they would. They worked rapidly and efficiently to fix 3 faucets that had reduced water flow. Then they replaced the garbage disposal at no cost. I had forgotten that the previous disposal had been purchased earlier this year, but they looked it up and replaced it immediately. That kind of old- fashioned customer service is why we have been Bill Howe customers for more than 20 years.

This was the absolutely best experience we have ever had with technicians at our home! The technicians were polite, professional and considerate of our property. I will recommend Bill Howe Plumbing to all my friends and neighbors!

Was our local go to company for plumbing needs, even recommended to others on our local FB sites. That has now changed. The price for the exact same plumbing need (2 different bathroom tub fixture) cost double one year later!While we all understand inflation a job that took 20 minutes (plumber also took 2 phone calls during the service call) cost $210 in 2021 now quoted to $440 in 2022.

Called in on a Sunday morning and the new water heater was installed by 1pm at lower rate than was quoted from another company. Corey was my specialist and cannot give enough stars for his professionalism and expertise. Highly recommend Bill Howe services.

I was so happy I chose them. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t crazy about calling Bill Howe because a lot of the time businesses with good marketing departments don’t necessarily do good work. Also it was for my company that is part of a national corporation. I was concerned we would be charged a lot because they knew it wasn’t coming out of my pocket directly. I had two technicians. Rico did the inspection. On time. Nice. Fast. He explained to me what needed to be done and what else to expect. Then Shaun came the next day, after I got approval. On time. Nice. Fast! My shower room drainage was not working and I had called four other plumbing companies before reaching out to Bill Howe. All four companies came but could not identify nor solve the problem. One quoted to change the entire sewer lines that will cost me >$60K.I called Bill Howe and the plumber Chris Sullivan came on-time on the appointment date. After going through what the problem was and what the other plumbing companies told me, he quickly identified the problem and was able to get the clogged drain working within 30 minutes. He explained the issue to me very well and was the only plumber (out of five companies!!) that solved my problem. Thumbs up!!Highly recommended to give them a call!

My family is a “repeat user” of Bill Howe. We find each of their team members to be polite, quickly responsive, and helpful with each interaction. Allan was all of that and more today as he eased my angst over broken pipes and spilling water!!

Great work moving the supply lines under the kitchen sink and replacing the 21 yr old (!) water heater with a brand new one. The plumber did a great job discussing different options to help come up with the best plan. He finished the job quickly and kept the house clean. Bill Howe also gave the best pricing for the work to be done. They continue to provide excellent service for best cost in San Diego.

Joe and Jason serviced (annual flush) our tankless water heater. They were on time (called first), very professional, friendly and easy going.

Martin and Jesus were absolutely wonderful in replacing an ancient water softener in our new house. Martin was very responsive and friendly, explaining everything he was doing and why, and really going the extra mile to make sure we knew what we were getting and how to operate and maintain the system. The work was timely and the price was fair. Overall a really easy and painless experience.

Today their plumber, Dan Denny (and his apprentice, Gage) replaced the plumbing that goes behind my stacked washer and dryer. I was able to get them to come out the same day I discovered the problem. They were exceptionally polite, clean in putting shoe coverings on before entering my condo, and taking time to explain everything they were doing. They also kindly answered some other plumbing questions I had. Dan was able to explain a weird noise my water heater has been making for the last three years, when other plumbers I’ve had to my home could not explain it. It was a matter of some pipes touching a piece of metal that they shouldn’t, and he just pushed it into the right place and the sound stopped. A freebie. It is rare to get such wonderful customer service, and I will probably only exclusively go with Bill Howe Plumbing for all of my future plumbing needs. Thank you Dan, Gage, and this company! Bill Howe has been excellent. With unforeseen circ*mstances, the staff has been overwhelmingly helpful and attentive. Marcus Jackson has treated our home and family with the best care. He has made sure to help us in any way we can to be satisfied with their work. He takes his work seriously, and has gone above and beyond to make sure our pipes are their best. Micheal (2152) did a great job, he looked at my water heater, knew exactly why it was not working and got it working again. Micheal was knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. He took the time to explain my options if I had issues in the future and gave me some brochures of alternatives for a new unit.

Clogged kitchen sink. Went online and requested service. Received alerts as technician was on his way. Angel Z arrived as stated In service window. Angel listened to what I had already tried, walked the property to understand the overall flow of drainage in the house before starting. He had to snake the drains many times to clear the countless years of gunk. He was very courteous throughout and completely cleaned up before he left. Excellent first experience

I haven't lived in San Diego for very long, but I've had several plumbing issues come up. The only time we didn't call Bill Howe first...we had to call them second. Now, they are ALWAYS my first call. The folks who have come out have always been professional, explained what they were doing, and fixed it on the first go-round. The pricing has been VERY reasonable compared to what I have paid in the past. I hope I don't have another plumbing issue, but I know that I can count on the folks at Bill Howe to solve it professionally, quickly, and at a reasonable price!

Gabriel was very professional! I just hated having to pay the service fee when Bill Howe was the ones who put our new faucets (6) in just 1 1/2 years ago. I’ve never had my entire faucets come loose before, much less 2 of them! Oh well, at least he was nice about it...but $174.00, 😫

Bill Howe responded to my call immediately, scheduled a plumber to come out an hour later (yes, I said the next hour!), they called before they came, and 30m later the problem was solved. I can’t say enough about Asher from Bill Howe: he was a consummate professional and gave a comprehensive report of what he did, as well as giving us great advice on how to keep the grease out of the sink drain. I’d be grateful to work with him again, although Bill Howe has always been a reliable and reasonably priced service!

Brian arrived right at the beginning of the three hour timeframe I was given when I initially booked the service, which was great because I wasn't left waiting around. He was courteous, professional, and when the new parts he installed in the toilet didn't quite work for the model I had, he took some specs and went to pick up parts that would work. He returned within the hour and installed the new parts quickly, and fixed the leak I was experiencing. All in all, great service from start to finish!

Dealing with Bill Howe was easy, I called and was greeted by LaKeisha, who provided exceptional and friendly customer service. She helped me find a convenient appointment to repair my shower valve. My schedule was for this afternoon and Tris called when he was on his way and arrived on the early side of my schedule. He took a look at the issue and told me how long it would take and gave me an estimate up front. He went right to work and communicated with me throughout the process. Troy did a great job replacing our broken garbage disposal today. He also removed an old water filtration system and helped us find a fix for our malfunctioning hot water recirculating pump, without charging extra for any of it. I would not choose and recommend them for service as there are a variety of more reliable options. We have a leak under our athroom sink and a faulty drain plug. Bill Howe Plumbing informed us they would not be able to arrive for 2 days, and set my appointment for today and said the technician would be arriving between 9 AM and 12 PM PST.I waited, and by 10:53, there was no sign of the technician so I called the company for an update. They then indicated that the technician is running late (they never contacted me to let me know he would miss the original appointment window). Not only was the technician late, but with only one e hour left to make the originally quoted window, they told me that the technician was still across town, and had another entire job to go to and complete before arriving... keep in mind they are telling me this 1 hour until the 3 hour window expires, and I had to call in to find this out... very inconvenient and inconsiderate....To make matters worse, the technician was supposed to arrive between 9 AM and 12 PM. The technician did not arrive until 2:20 PM. The technician came in and spent 5 minutes checking out the bathroom. He then told us that this was not going to be a quick fix and that they had other appointments to finish today.... wow.... and that the appointment would have to be rescheduled.I feel that this was very poor communication from the company, they do not provide realistic expectations, and I have had much better experiences with other companies. This was by far poor service, and poor customer service all the way around. I would not recommend them.

Travis Raynor 906 was the plumber that was onsite. He removed the bad hardware on my kitchen sink and installed the new. A job I thought to be pretty difficult, he made it look easy and was done in no time. So very pleased was I with the results that I requested him again in a follow on job on my to do list. Travis is a credit to BHP. Very personable with a very friendly demeanor. Work ethics commendable. Observed to be very experienced and highly skilled in his profession. Well done!

Our technician, Corey Koenen, did a great job and communicated with us very clearly about what he was planning to do and how much it was likely to cost. He kept us apprised of his movements before he arrived (he stopped by the shop to pick up a new water heater before coming to our home) and then completed the work with skill and speed once he was on site. We were back in business with hot water in our home by 1:00 pm. Many thanks to Corey and the Bill Howe team! Also, a quick shout out to Andrea the dispatcher for her excellent help in handling my early morning phone call about the situation. We'll definitely use Bill Howe Plumbing again.

We have used Bill Howe for all of our Plumbing and Heating services for many years. All experiences have been good. Recently one of their experienced heating technicians performed the annual inspection of our furnace. Bill Smith thoroughly checked its performance and answered my questions regarding options for installing a bipolar ionizer for improved air quality. He gave me estimates on two possibilities, one of which I proceeded with. Two weeks later Bill returned and installed an ionizer in the furnace plenum. The installation was done as promised. All the people I have dealt with at Bill Howe have been personable and responsive

Had a toilet plumbing leak underneath my mobile home and called Bill Howe. Daniel, the technician, was very knowledgeable. He assessed the problem, replaced the wax gasket and job was complete within the hour! Highly recommend Bill Howe.

bath tube water drain pipe leaked. The technician come and mentioned it's 2 men's work. $189 per hour for himself and $60 per hour for the assistant. They charge at least 1 hour and if it's more than 1 hour, they charge additional labor per half half. They arrived 12:00pm and finished work at around 1:20pm. Instead of charging 1.5 hour, they charged 2 hours labor plus material in total $571. The reason is1. load and unload equipment from car is also accounted.2. I asked to test the tube overflow during the fix, plus the equipment load/unload time, it's couple of minutes over 1.5 hours so it charges 2 hours.I still paid 2 hours. The drain pipe leak is fixed but it makes me feel uncomfortable since they tried to account extra time instead of help customer save money.

The technician Isaiah Maher was great. He was on time. He answered all my questions and got the job done quickly.

Danny is an excellent representative of your company. He is knowledgeable, explains things in detail in terms we can understand, is courteous, and punctual. He replaced a circulating pump in our water heater and replaced a faucet in record time and found another problem that he will return and take care of in a few days. Very impressed by his work ethic.

We requested service on Thursday. An appointment was promptly made for Friday. Don arrived on time with a smile, diagnosed our broken water heater, recommended the appropriate replacement size, described the warranty options, suggested valve and door repairs, left to obtain the new heater, let me know he was back, installed the new heater and reviewed the costs. Great company that hires great individuals. John was my repair man and he called and gave me a heads up on when he was showing up. He was very nice, approachable, and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it which made plumbing seem very fun and enjoyable. After having massive problems with my home warranty company at the same time that I had a water heater leaking water in my house I was able to call Bill Howe plumbing and was treated exceptionally well, they responded immediately, and saved the day. My home warranty company felt it was OK to schedule a plumbing diagnostic visit next week. Five days away with no hot water and a leaking tank in my house was not acceptable. I called Bill Howe plumbing because so many of my peers in real estate shared with me how nice they were to work with and how fair they were with their pricing. Not only do I have hot water but we have a high level of confidence that the entire job was done exceptionally well. Manuel had a tall order coming out to complete work left from another tech. He was amazing! Not only did he do a great job diplomatically rectifying a bad customer experience, he is very skilled and repaired the original issues swiftly and thoroughly, saving me hundreds of dollars from previously quoted unnecessary replacements. I am really thankful!

Our service technician, Josh, was excellent! He called ahead, was waiting at the house when I arrived, evaluated the problem quickly and went right to work. Within just a short time, he had resolved the drain stoppage problem and restored our house to good working order. Josh was super professional and personable and even loved on our two big dogs who kept pestering him to see what he was doing under our sink. Josh even noticed, when I wrote him a check, that we use a military bank and inquired if we were a military family so that he could offer us the military discount - now THAT is customer service!

Gabriel was the plumber sent to take care of my plumbing issue by Bill Howe. I was a bit nervous at first. I've had many plumbers in the past come out to preform services; however, he was by far the fastest and best I've had out,! He was knowledgeable and very clear on his estimates of services. Mr. Victor Gonzalez was a stellar employee. Called 30 minutes before my appointment as a courtesy. Professionally dressed and polite, informing me with regular updates throughout the visit. Offered a promotional discount not only on the services provided - which he completed during the same visit this morning - but a discount on the estimate for replacing my 9 year-old water heater. Knows his work extremely well and great at answering questions. Definitely will request Mr. Gonzalez next time!

On Saturday, on Memorial Day weekend, with houseguests coming for the weekend and a party on the holiday, my plumbing backed up. I called Bill Howe around noon (as soon as I noticed the clean out overflowing outside) and the said they’d have someone there by 3pm! They dispatched David Hodge, who arrived before 2pm. He identified the issue (our mainline had an obstruction), fixed it, explained what he’d done, and was on his way by 2:30 - an hour before our guests arrived! David was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Bill Howe and David saved our weekend!

The technicians working on my sewer relining were excellent. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after they were here each of the 3 days of work. You could tell that they had spent 3 days completely the project. Great job guys!!

Bill Howe to the rescue again, we called to have our bath tub fixed. We had a plumbing we had a leak under our bath tub that was flooding our bathroom, Shane the technician came and and went right to work, he knew exactly where to go and what to do. Bill Howe Plumbing sent out Troy, an outstanding plumbing technician to our apartment building today. He was very thorough and professional. He sent a text when on the way and upon completion. Plus called after to give complete run down of work performed and billing charges. Troy also checked ALL drains in the apartment instead of just the clogged tub. Many plumbing companies do the bare minimum and charge exorbitant fees only to come right back again and charge more. Bill Howe seems to always do it right the 1st time! Never a surprise or shock when billing is received from Bill Howe Plumbing, as our current main plumbing company has done to us before. I have used Bill Howe for most of our plumbing issues since the beginning of 2021 and have not had issues with their work OR charges being high to date. I have been blessed with working with 3 other Bill Howe plumbing technicians and all too have done outstanding work as well. Even after hour emergency fees have been fair compared to many other plumbing companies we have under contract. Bill Howe Plumbing has always been reasonable and fair on billing and we believe It is mainly because of the integrity of their plumber technicians. Bill Howe Heating & Air Conditioning Restoration & Flood Services Inc may NOW be 1st on our list going forward after the excellent service today. Unfortunately our buildings had plumbing issues before Bill Howe Plumbing started helping us. Now that we have them on our team the issues seem to be decreasing because of their quality of work!

I would have rated 5 stars for the fast response time, quality of work, competitive price, knowledge and ease to deal with. Unfortunately the final bill was $150 more than quoted because two additional flexible copper lines were required for my new water heater.I find it a bit hard to swallow considering i sent pictures, at their request, so they could provide me with a quote w/o sending someone. The pictures were clearly showing the top of the old heater (rigid copper pipes) so they knew the flexible copper lines would be required for the new one. They had no answer when I asked why the quote missed it.I doubt they try to rip off customers but these mistakes always end up being paid by the customer. Disappointing. 4 stars.

Excellent service, resolved our issue efficiently. The Bill Howe technician, Dashawn Elliott, was very helpful and you could tell he had a lot of knowledge of toilets and their mechanics. Explained the issue and the options and didn’t try to push us into making a choice until we were ready to do so. We appreciate it.

My kitchen sink was clogged and Tyair R. was able to unclog it . He was very professional, respectful and answered all my questions. I have used Bill Howe twice now (replaced my toilet last year) and have been happy with their services . They wear a mask to follow Covid guidelines and minimize contact . Plumbing issues are so frustrating and stressful so I am glad I trusted Bill Howe to do the job . They also offer competitive prices which is always appreciated .

We would like to share our experience with the Bill Howe Plumbing team.We decided to replace our water heater, pressure regulator valve, and hot and cold-water valves that provided water to our washing machine because they would not completely shut off the water when turned in the off position.Due to having multiple items that needed replaced, we were happy when Armando came out each time. Great service, but you're going to pay for it. They came right out, the guy was nice and knowledgeable and went right to work. This is the 1st time I had ever replaced a water heater and I had no idea what they cost, but Bill Howe is a reputable company so I took their word for it. However, my wife and I both got the same reaction from people when we told them it cost almost $2000. Everybody we told said we got ripped off. They did good work and they did it fast, but boy did they charge us for it. About 2 hours work, $500 labor and $1400+ for the parts. Ouch. Live and learn I guess.So, very very expensive, but great service. If you don't mind paying top dollar, call them.

Much appreciation to a great team, from the service scheduling phone rep who took my service order; to Karla, who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me navigate a conference call with the financing company (I'm hearing impaired); to my service tech, Gabe, who did a phenomenal job explaining the problem and my options. The next day, he installed a new unit and also discovered and replaced my broken main water pressure valve. Came home yesterday afternoon to find water all over area around an obviously broken water heater. Called Bill Howe to try to get immediate help. Although it was already late in the day, they were able to schedule me. Allan Aguilar, whose normal work hours end at 5PM, nonetheless arrived and removed and replaced the water heater. Even though the process took a few hours, Allan persisted with professionalism and courtesy to complete the task. Due to Allan's diligence and work ethic, we had hot water restored that same evening. I could not be more pleased, and would recommend Bill Howe, and particularly Allan Aguilar for any plumbing needs.

All technicians were great. Rigoberto, Julien and Luis. transparent about price and focused on figuring the problem out. Tree roots are not a homeowners friend.

Ron was simply amazing. He empathized with my leak in a bathroom tub faucet, he was really professional, quick and knowledgable and was compassionate that, as a new homeowner, I didn't know where the water heater was. Explained things clearly and was considerate of any concern we brought up. We are very happy with the results for our kitchen, bathroom and bedroom remodel/restoration.

I've used Bill Howe for 2 distinct issues- plumbing and HVAC. Both occasions were really terrible experiences, and I would absolutely not recommend using them.For the plumbing issue, the diagnosis they gave me was to repair something that the plumber who came out to fix it said himself was unnecessary. When I called to explain the situation, they would not refund the money I had already paid, and instead offered an HVAC maintenance for later in the season.Fast forward a few months, my tenant complained of HVAC not heating- so I called to cash in my maintenance. Turns out that maintenance was meant for some other kind of maintenance, so I had to pay again for a diagnostic. The result, I was told, was that I would need a full scale HVAC replacement. After no less than FOUR visits, and some very frustrated tenants, the original problem still existed with the brand new system. I was told the problem was the thermostat, and on replacing it, the HVAC worked. When I asked if that could have been the original issue, and therefore I may not have needed a $13K system, the manager said there was no way to know at this point. AWESOME.Today, my tenants called again- they tried to turn on the AC for the first time of the season (and since the replacement 2 months ago) this week and the brand new system doesn't blow cold air. So they sent a tech out today, and I never heard back. After waiting a few hours I called their dispatch and apparently the tech arrived, couldn't get onto the roof, and left without ever calling me. Had I not called in, I would not have known they showed up and left.Every individual I've spoken to has been exceptionally nice, but unfortunately the actual communication from the company has been very poor and the work unreliable, leading me to feel they are simply untrustworthy.

this is such a great professional service, we had Alex visit our home today to repair leak in downstairs toilet tank area.He listened to our concerns, understood, and repaired and replaced what was necessary, plus he shared costs prior to doing work to get our OK. Again great service and neat and clean. Alex also wore paper boots in area he was concerned it.

AVOID this merchant. We hired them to repair our underground gas line. Sadly, they cut our underground cable during the repair, and 1.5 months later we are still without internet and cable. The company has not taken responsibility for their mistake nor have they rectified the situation.

Bill Howe Plumbing is the very best in San Diego. They responded within minutes to my online request for an appointment. It was set for the next day at a time that was convenient for me. The plumber phoned to let me know when he was on the way to my home. He was on time, was cordial and installed my new bathroom faucet and new stainless steel risers. I had the 10% discount coupon from their web site. The total invoice was very reasonable. They are always professional and their customer service is outstanding.

Excellent service. Our water heater started leaking at the worst time possible, and thankfully Bill Howe had immediate appointment availability. I would ask for Doug every time. He called ahead to find out what type of water heater we had, so he could bring one in case a new one was required. Planning ahead like that saved me precious time, and I was grateful he didn't have to make 2 trips. He was courteous and efficient. The type of person that I felt comfortable inviting into my home, which says a lot. He went above and beyond, removing the old wood platform - he could have just as easily said that was outside the scope of his line of work - but he didn't hesitate to help me out. Exceptional work! They have some very professional and talented technicians and VERY POOR project management. They say they will do things and not come through... many times during our 6 week Restoration and Flood project I asked for things and the project manager(s) said they would take care of it yet never did. Their business model seems much more oriented to getting all they can from the insurance company than serving the customer. They had me sign an agreement that I would pay what the insurance company would not yet I couldn't get a detailed list of the scope of the work and the proposed charges. Two days after the project supposedly ended I got a copy of the original proposed charges only after the final bill had been sent to the insurance company. And I got a copy of the final bill 5 days after the insurance company did. We will not do business with Bill Howe again and cannot recommend them. They may know how but for us, they did not deliver.

Julian came out and found roots in our sewer line. We had had part of our pipe lined a few months ago but they didn't line all the areas needed. Julian cleaned out the roots and talked to his supervisor to inform him that the area not previously lined needed to be done as well as a new area of root intrusion. He was very thorough and got us back to normal water usage. Thanks Julian.

Our 30+ year old A/C unit and Furnace have been badly in need of replacement/upgrade for some years now. In spite of that hard reality, about a year ago, we just simply stopped searching for a decent local contractor after experiencing a whole variety of arrogant, condescending, rude, up-sell, onsite estimators who just left us flabbergasted at how far down the scale, personable, honest, and friendly customer service has devolved to. However, partly on a whim, but mostly with a pragmatic reality check that winter is coming, with some hesitation, we finally decided to give Bill Howe a try.Our experience with Bill Howe began with a surprising twist in the form of an estimator named Jeremy Girtain, who actually showed up and rang the doorbell exactly at the agreed time. Who does that?? Jeremy did not drive up in a brand new Tesla, wearing a three piece suit, nor did his cell phone ring and interrupt our estimate discussion a single time during the 30 minutes or so that he was here. He was both receptive and respectful to the idea that we had a specific, finite, list of things that we wanted and needed installed, and we never once felt the typical hard up sell pressure that usually dominates these kinds of estimates. He gave us multiple choices, and sound, but not pushy, recommendations for the ideal system for our square footage. Nice!! So we contracted.On the morning of the install we received a nice courtesy text from Howe dispatch to inform us that the installation team was on the way, along with an informative set of ground rules that the customer and the team should try to adhere to. The team (Bren Talob, Brian & Sam) arrived exactly on time, and like some finely trained group of hive bee's on a mission, laid out various tarps, donned their booties, removed and disposed of all the old components, and had a completely new system installed, tested, and running before 4:00 pm that afternoon.A final walk around visual inspection of the entire new installation (A/C Unit, Furnace, Digital Thermostat) provided by the team leader, revealed an overall ergonomic design (wiring, plumbing, wrapping, general appearance) that felt craftsman level to me. As a career technician myself, I felt that the attention to detail was stellar, especially considering the overall final cost. The technicians were unquestionably on the order of extremely courteous, professional, and continuously communicative during the entire installation process. Even to an untrained eye, this was definitely one of those labor intensive (upstairs/downstairs/roof work), dirty, and technically challenging projects that no one in their right mind looks forward to happening at their home. And yet, these three fellow's not only went to the extremes to make it as painless as possible, but they also made it look easy, and more importantly seemed to be loving their work the entire time that they were there.Bill Howe's approach was a refreshing change and exceeded all of our expectations. Bill Howes' team provided an excellent service when our bathroom flooded. They went above-and-beyond to help us with the flood damage. Their plumbers were very professional, skilled and understanding. Worked with Trice and Gabe. They came to install hot water circulator in our home. Gabe was very knowledgeable and he provided an excellent service. He also patiently explained how things worked. He recommended best practices on how to maintain the tankless water heater, fixed the timer and even helped out with a small leak coming from the bathroom faucet. He was very kind and patient. The flood restoration team was also very attentive and responsive. We are very impressed with team Bill Howes. Their employees seem to be very happy as well. I have never met any contractors or employees who work for contractors as happy as the employees who work for Bill Howe. Bill Howe just completed plumbing and construction work in my laundry room. The job was led by Scott and his team did fantastic work. The team included Daniel (tiling) and Alan (plumbing) as well as two or three others whose names I unfortunately didn't get. All technicians were professional and thoughtful in the approach to their work. Have used BH several times. I can always count on the staff to show up, show up on time, be courteous, neat and to know what they are talking about. Most importantly, I've found this is a company that stands behind its work, which is very rare. I give them huge props for their integrity.

This review is for Luis Estrada, Reconstruction Estimator, Bill Howe Restoration & Flood Services. I had flooding and water damage in my condo in March 2023 due to a valve busting and a second water emergency in July 2023 when my water heater leaked water from the top. I called Bill Howe, they sent a plumber the same day, and the plumbing emergency repairs were done for both incidents. After the repairs were done, Luis called me to discuss the next steps to do the home reconstruction. He is very courteous, professional, and experienced. Also, Luis is fully Bilingual and being able to talk to him in Spanish helped me better understand the situation. For the first incident in March 2023, he was my initial contact and he answered all my calls and my questions until Francisco and Tia took over. For the second incident in July 2023, Luis is the lead estimator working on my home reconstruction project. In July 2023, I had the pleasure of meeting him in person to work on the estimate. To expedite the claim with USAA he agreed to meet up with USAA’s estimator Mr. Jason Ekstrom. Luis is a forward thinker and provided thoughtful solutions to expedite the scheduling and complete the reconstruction project as soon as possible. Also, Luis prepared an estimate following USAA’s insurance requirements. His diligence, expertise, and CAN-DO attitude was critical to expedite the claim process and receive payment from USAA for the water damage incident in July 2023. Now I have the money to repair my condo ! I definitely recommend Luis Estrada and Bill Howe for your home reconstruction projects, and I’m very grateful for the whole team's hard work! On the morning of Friday, April the 1st (not an April Fool's post by any means) as I was going to my car to go to work, I noticed water pooling under my water heater. Needless to say I was not happy. At work (I am a high school teacher) I called Bill Howe plumbing to see if I could get my water heater replaced that afternoon. Well they were able to fit me in. Since I teach until 2:50 pm, I could not accept the 2-5 window. They were able to create a 3-5 window for me (I live very close to the high school at which I teach). I sent in pictures of my water heater which allowed the tech to bring a new H2O heater with him.My tech was Darryl Fountain. Darryl is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and skilled. I like to watch professionals work and he was happy to explain all he was doing, answer all questions I had, and work efficiently. Darryl is a tech (plumber) I would absolutely recommend to anyone to work on any plumbing issues. Called Bill Howe 13 September 2023 regarding a running toilet. Plumber Dashawn Elliott and Apprentice Jorge arrived within an hour. Twenty plus year old toilet was actually leaking. Dashawn thoroughly explained our options. Considering the age and corrosion of the toilet the best option was to replace with a new toilet. I can not say enough about Dashawn, he was so kind and caring, such a wonderful soul, a rarity in todays society. So much appreciated his work and how he treated us.

Dave Redfield 925 was awesome. He replaced the entire water plumbing in the house. He made a great suggestion of moving the main water line into the garage in order to be able to place a future filtration system in the garage instead of on the side of the house; I hadn't thought of that. He and his assistant did neat and complete work. They even checked and replaced old and faulty faucets. Very thorough and very friendly!

There was a miscommunication with the scheduling of our tankless water heater when I called to confirm the appointment and realized there was no appointment on the books. The office staff was very helpful and they were able to send out the installer the same day (a day earlier than the original date). They came out to do my restroom tore off the ceiling and never came back to put it back together now my family have to deal with an open hole in my restroom that is making the mold worse I’m am very upset and they lost some parts to my restroom door that I had to go purchase myself . 🤬🤬🤬

Found my water heater leaking on a Saturday afternoon. After much negotiation with others at home and working out plans and finances, I ended up making final arrangements at 9pm with Bill Howe. Micheal called me at 8am on Sunday morning and was at my house with a new water heater by 9:15am. Total pro and did excellent work. I am extremely happy with the result. Price is absolutely fair and came in under original quote. Updated us to a number of code items I wasn’t aware of, and did the removal and install in a speedy and clean process. No one wants to find their water heater flooding their garage, but this whole process went very smoothly. I like that the company texts you the name and contact info of the technician (along with a picture) ahead of time. Very professional and high quality. Would definitely recommend in the future.

After calling about six other plumbers, I found Bill Howe Plumbing to be the least expensive and they were able to come install the new water heater the same day. Dave showed up on time and was very professional. When he was done installing the new water heater he explained how it worked and taught me how to flush it.

After a quick diagnose of our water pressure and flow into our home we determined we needed a new whole house water system. What we had was no longer working and close to 25 yr old. I purchased a reverse osmosis system water filtration system from Costco with the intent of installing it myself. It was easy enough to install, however, getting it not to leak at every connection was a different story. After much frustration I called these guys. They showed up on time which is refreshing. Martin and the other guy that came out were able to fix the multiple issues quickly and explained what they did and what parts they used.Plumbing service is expensive, no doubt about it. However, peace of mind knowing that it was done right it priceless. Highly appreciate their service and attention to detail.

We have been using Bill Howe plumbing for a very long time. They are always so nice and they do great work. Our house is older so plumbing gets clod. They are reasonably priced.

We are having our kitchen remodeled by Bill Howe and while the project is still not finished, I had to give a review of the actual plumber who did the dishwasher, faucet, and under-sink plumbing installation. Christian spent more than 7 hours here because he had to go into the wall and install angle brackets, plus re-do the entire sink drainage and water filtration system. When he discovered one thing after another he consistently made the best decision for me as the customer, ensuring that everything worked perfectly before finally leaving after 6, to go to another job.I felt that he was really dedicated to doing a good job, and made sure that we were totally satisfied with his part of the job before leaving. Living in an old house (1955) he had to make a lot of adjustments and did so with expertise and professionalism. Really nice guy too! I would recommend Christian for any plumbing job!

These folks are simply awesome. I had a significant backup in my whole house. Scheduled a call online Sunday night. They called me on Monday morning to confirm. As promised, the tech called us 30 minutes prior to arriving. He assessed the situation and provided an estimate. He got right to work and the job was challenging. He had to remove the master bath toilet as well. He cleaned the areas so they looked like no one had ever been there. The lines are working great and can't believe the difference. The tech was kind and professional (I can't recall his name but he deserves recognition for sure). Given the time and amount of work needed to get this fixed the cost was more than reasonable. We just had our entire new cut in central heat/ac installed. I am beyond happy with work and service provided by everyone on Bill Howe install teams. Samuel and his team of installers were awesome completing the entire job. Samuel answered any questions and concerns I had. He made sure to communicate on any issues and what work they were completing. Jose came in to repair drywall from old wall heater taken out and new opened attic space. Jose was great and very professional. Jose patched up all the drywall and cannot even tell there were any holes before. The electrician hired by Bill Howe Mike Kennedy was great as well. I had a clogged pipe under the kitchen sink that needed to get fixed ASAP. I called numerous places in my area to see if they could come out today or at least the next day. No one had openings soon enough. Then I got recommended Bill Howe from a neighbor of mine, decided to give them a shot after speaking to their customer service which was very responsive and honest!A technician got assigned to my appointment the same day and was at my house in less than 2 hours. We had Bill Howe technicians to help us in assessing property we expect to buy. One tech did a survey to detect any leaks in water lines under the slab and two other techs came to examine drain lines and inspect by camera the line that would accomodate a camera. All three techs were highly professional, efficient, thorough and personable. I got exactly what I needed and what I expected, and I am a delighted customer.

The service was fabulous. Michael the tech was the best. Very honest and helpful. Our problem was resolved exactly as quoted, they didn't under quote to get the job and then add to the cost. We will definitely go with them again and hopefully Michael will still be there bc we'll be requesting him.

Isiah did an excellent job replacing a shut off valve on a toilet that was leaking. We had no running water for the entire house due to the leak, and he fixed the problem. He was professional and knowledgeable and although he made recommendations, he wasn't pushy.

I had flooding and water damage in my condo in March 2023 due to a valve busting and a second water emergency in July 2023 when my water heater leaked water from the top. I called Bill Howe, they sent a plumber the same day, and the plumbing emergency repairs were done. Tia called me to let me know she was the project manager assigned to my home reconstruction project. She was very professional and friendly. Tia was constantly onsite, and answered my questions, calls, and emails without delay. She provided me with focused attention and followed up with me every week. She managed every aspect of the job with meticulous attention to detail and a steady communication flow. Throughout the process she sent me photos, gave me updates and prepared me for the next stage of the work. Tia selected the bathtub and the vinyl flooring to be installed in my bathrooms. After the job was completed I was amazed, the bathrooms looked fantastic ! Currently, I’m working with Tia on the home reconstruction project of the second water damage incident that occurred in July 2023. I needed to have my tankless water heater flushed. This function is performed annually but the installer, who had previously flushed the heater, was unable to perform the service and referred me instead to Bill Howe. The experience was seamless and quick, from scheduling to the actual service. Eric, the technician, was professional, easy to talk to and technically competent. Because of this positive experience and first impression, I intend to use Bill Howe for all my future plumbing needs.

I am so thankful for the expertise and quick response of Bill Howe Plumbing and with our initial technicians Saul and Jesse. We were able to schedule our appointment immediately upon finding water in our garage suddenly one morning after using the dishwasher. Saul and Jesse were called out as senior drain technicians, due to the type of leak we had. Saul and Jesse worked together to get to the bottom and root cause of our sudden leak. They were transparent with their process, and went above and beyond our expectations with additional work that needed to be done, took care for my home, and repaired the damaged pipe quickly. Miguel did a great job finding the leak in my basem*nt and kept me apprised of everything he did. He explained each step and tested his work to make sure there were no further leaks. He removed all trash and kept my home clean. He was very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend him.

Our main line for sewage developed a clog on a Sunday. I called several local plumbers, none of which would come out. I had used Bill Howe years ago, and decided to call them. I provided my info and received a call from the on call plumber just a few minutes later. Justin Gould arrived at the house within 15 minutes. He was professional, enthusiastic, and extremely helpful. He cleared the blockage with 15 minutes. The cost was reasonable, and I highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing.

Miguel explained what he would be doing at each step and executed promptly. It was evident that Miguel knows his trade. His work was clean and meticulous. I initially had water leakage damage under my kitchen sink which became more complicated as the repair work finally progressed. After reporting my home owners insurance claim for approval, multiple members of the Bill Howe “team” consulted and assigned their work force. The entire project took about 2 months to make my kitchen functional again.

The sink in the kitchen of the first floor condo in our building was overflowing from a clog. Anderson, who advertises 24/7 service, said they could send someone the next evening. I called Bill Howe & a wonderful young man, Tony, arrived in an hour and one half, 7pm. He unclogged that problem & while in the garage noticed another issue we had & fixed that too. I’m very impressed & pleased with their promptness & caring attitude. Tony couldn’t have been better. Thanks

I was most pleased with the honesty shown by the plumber who came out and addressed an issue with the garbage disposal. He could have easily recommended a new disposal but quickly pointed out that my disposal was newer and just needed a blade adjustment. I also appreciated his calling me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. These things one would think would be basic service but there are a lot of guys out there ready and willing to take advantage of customers. I'm glad this plumber wasn't one of them and I would highly recommended Bill Howe.

My wife smelled gas when I didn’t, Doug found multiple small(Ish) leaks under the house and set about closing them to inspection-grade quality. He had to cut through some flooring and repaired them. Most importantly for me, he explained what was going on with the pipes so I felt good about authorizing the work he deemed necessary. Doug was fantastic but everyone Bill Howe has sent to service my property has been very good too. I’ve called them more than I’ve reviewed them and can say that I was happy even when not moved to tap out an online review. You’ll pay a premium for a name brand but I can attest to the value of the cost.2/2 - Hector came on time, well within the estimated window, and was very professional. He inspected all the areas we needed estimates on and was knowledgeable about the various issues to be addressed. He was also respectful of PPE and social distancing policies. The process was efficient and pleasant.

The guys called first, showed up on time, and solved my problem. A stopped up toilet and tub was caused by none other than Lord Vecna himself and his hive-mind crawly vines that had found their way around my toilet's wax seal and into the drain pipe.This job needed a pro for sure, and I was very happy to pay to remove this enormous gob of roots. Pipes were fine, so they just added root killer at the base of the toilet.

Service was professional, polite and the work was completed in 10 minutes. I just find it high-way robbery to charge $276.00 per hour with a one hour minimum. I should have made the repair man stay at my home doing chores for the remainder of the visit since I paid for the full hour.

The team is excellent. From the start of relationship when they executed a minor miracle with installation of heat pump system within a week of first discussion and sourcing the desired equipment despite supply conditions at the time. Install team took exceptional care for detail and did not rush the job despite it taking over 10 hours. Well done. Follow up matters with Jackson have been nothing short of outstanding!. My wife and I woke up the morning of 08/01 to find out that our kitchen sink was clogged on the garbage disposal side. After trying some tricks that did not work I called Bill Howe. I grew up with my parents relying on Bill Howe for all their plumbing needs. I don't use anyone else. The person who answered scheduled us for 11am - 2pm. I own an old beach house in Encinitas and the secondary water shut off valve and pressure regulator to my property no longer worked. The Bill Howe plumber, Michael Hoover, told me how to set up a time for the city of Encinitas water department to come and turn off the water (the main shut off valve was frozen) so he could do the work.I was amazed at the efficiency. Michael arrived 20 minutes before the city was due to arrive and prepped for the job. The city arrived on time, exercised the frozen valve, turned off the water and waited while Michael did the work. Then they turned the water back on. The entire time that the water was shut off was under 20 minutes.I am more than happy to share this good experience. Right now I am a pretty happy homeowner.

I am incredibly impressed with the professionalism of this company. I could not be more pleased with the service! I called Bill Howe at 8:30am and explained a major plumbing issue that I feared would put me out of my house for days. I had Bill Howe install a tankless water heater back in Oct '08....the guy did a fantastic job in laying it out and doing the work, very impressive. Had them out last year for another reason, the guy did great....then on Sunday past, had a pressure regulator start spewing and decided to try Andersen Plumbing.....great work also, but really pricey.. about 3 hrs after he left, the water heater started leaking, so on Monday called Bill Howe. They sent Steven out to take care of.......he saved me about $2200, so I had him do some other work....AND still way under what a new water heater would have cost. I am very pleased and have my plumber......Thank You very much Bill Howe.....or hat is off to your service people.

When we experienced a plumbing emergency on a Sunday we were nervous about trying a new company that we only knew from Padres games commercials :) We have heard horror stories about afterhours plumbers gouging customers on weekends.To our pleasant surprise, Bill Howe Plumbing really came through for us and completed an emergency drain clearing within a few hours of our call. Jemma was extremely helpful on the phone and arranged a service tech immediately. Alex texted on his way and resolved our issue quickly and professionally and the charge was reasonable for urgent Sunday service.We thought that this was a one off service call, but we were very impressed and plan to use them again in the future.

Dan and Gage were amazing. They treated me like a family member...seriously. I even had a really stupid question the next day and Dan called me right away and treated me so well. I can also tell you my friend also had her water heater break the week before mine and she paid at lest $500 more than I did. I made a service call with Bill Howe to have a faucet and garbage disposal replaced. The plumbing tech that came and took care of the job was Juan. He was very professional and friendly. Juan took care of the installation of the faucet and disposal. He also made recommendations in regard to replacing the shut off valves (which had obvious mineral build up and didn’t move), and a worn water supply hose to the dishwasher. I was grateful that he was able to take care of these extra items. The service call was a very positive experience!! My husband and I had used Bill Howe in the past, so I was confident in having them work on our house again. Great techs and company!!

Great technician. A sweet young man willing to listen to the concerns of this fretful senior worried that returning from surgery in the next day would be without the use of the facilities,especially since my grandson's newly engaged fiancee was going to spend the night( post surgery instructions. ) I appreciate the explanion for the estimate for future service since this has been a. repeating problem effecting only 1 of my toilets. We used their services for maintenance of our water heater and AC/furnace. The guys, Miguel and Enoch, both showed up on time at the beginning of the booked slot. Both were very professional, friendly, and did a fine job. Given these coronavirus times, they had face coverings. They also brought their own shoe covers and took care walking around the house. It turned out our water heater and regulator were worn out and had to be replaced. Miguel guided us patiently through the options. Enoch added some parts to the furnace and compressor for safety and longevity. Thankfully they took payment by card online on their tablet because I don’t handle cash these days. Overall, timely and smooth service! Of course, I do not know about the quality of the new parts until we get to use them over a longer period. :) The parts are not cheap but the rates seem reasonable and at market value.

Excellent service! Michael came out Saturday to evaluate the water heater that was not working. He was able to get it going again but warned due to the age of the heater it might stop working again. I inquired about a new heater and was given a quote on the spot. As he predicted it stopped working on Sunday. I called the number was able to leave info for a call on Monday, I also used the online chat service via the website. Both exchanges were pleasant and efficient. I phoned back on Monday morning as I wanted to ensure an appointment for that day to replace the heater. I was given an appointment window for that afternoon. Michael called came out and replaced the heater. He was fast and clean, taking care by covering the rugs. When he was done it was if he was never there. I so appreciated his care for my home and making sure everything was left undisturbed. I will be using this company to upgrade my heating system.

They sent a person over to assess what we needed, gave me a quote and once we agreed on a price (a little high), Doug began the work. The work Doug performed was great, quick lookd like it will last another 25 years. The new faucet functions as it should and looks great. I highly recommend Bill Howe plumbing to any one needing these kind of services.

Had a clogged bathroom sink. Josh called to see if he could come an hour early. That was fine. He arrived, quickly took care of the problem, checked the other sinks (OK) and billed me the minimum. Sadly, later that day, we discovered the laundry sink above the original problem was now clogged. Coincidence? Bottom line I was charged for a second, more expensive visit. Have used Bill Howe before. Always prompt, professional and reasonably priced. A bit disappointed this go round.

My drains were clogged, which has been a recurring problem in my apartment since the drains are hooked up with my neighbor's. Bill Howe sent Dashawn to fix the problem, and he was great. Not only did he snake the $#!% out of our drains (literally and figuratively 😆), but he also gave me AND my neighbor a lesson on proper garbage disposal usage, which was the root cause of the problem. Having an older home, we had the unhappy experience of a pipe collapse under our bathroom/foundation. Bill Howe Plumbing to the Rescue! I didn't realize at the time they did restoration. Feeling overwhelmed by a bare, jackhammered bathroom, I used their restoration services and I am so glad I did. Project Manager Guillermo Castro was so easy to work with and each craftsman that arrived was skilled, friendly, efficient...and they cleaned up after every project: demolition, install electrical/lighting, custom cabinetry, floor restoration and re-plumbing sink/toilet...I can honestly say they turned a miserable plumbing situation into an attractive, enjoyable remodel. Grateful!

I have a brad ford white water heater that failed after making an explosion sound and started showing error code F18. I called varoius plumbing companies, but it was useless since technicians were not familiar at all with bradford white water heater with heat pump, and even they scared to at least try. So, I finally called Bill Howe Company and Juan Lopez was the technician who came to fix the problem. He was very patient in diagnostic and figuring out the issue. He was very cooperative and professional. I really appreciate him to not to give up on repairing our water heater like many other technicians who came. He tried to find ways to be cost effective by looking at alternative ways of repair. He used much cheaper way to fix our laundry water arrester while all other technicians told me they have to cut the dry wall which would make my brand new home ugly and was much more expensive. Thanks to Juan Lopez who brought the peace again to my life. More importantly we can take shower again :) .

Worst experience ever with a plumber. It took five trips to fix what should have been a relatively easy fix. It was only when I demanded a journeyman plumber that I actually got a plumber - on the 5th visit; prior to that they were technicians who apparently did not know what they were doing. On the third visit they replaced two parts (rather than repairing them) and one of the parts was not the correct one. This technician also re-installed the handle backwards. The toilet handle still does not flush properly but I'm done with this company.

I was having a major pipe issue where I couldn't use my bathroom toilet or shower. They sent an awesome dude named Michael out after 9pm, and he was able to resolve the issue for my small apartment building within an hour. He was super nice and chill. Would highly recommend Bill Howe. (Also as an SD native I can say for fact they have the catchiest jingle).

The service was great. The technician was able to identify the problem and resolve it. The technician did not try to upsell me . There were rocks and grout in my pipe and the tech vacuumed it out. This saved me thousands of dollars as I would have had to dig under the concrete to replace the pipe. The technician was very professional. This company is well worth the price.

Was referred to their restoration division to deal with my mold issues (caused by Kenmore refrigerator ☹️), prompt, worked quickly, two days with a humidifier in sealed off area which was very quiet; new plastering was so good I didn't really need a paint over. Had a great experience with Bill Howe in replacing my gas hot water heater earlier this week. Corey came out, assessed the situation, gave me a quote (which was 1/2 of what another plumber wanted to charge me), got the materials, and replaced the water heater. He was extremely professional and great to work with and the result was perfect. I plan to use them whenever needed and definitely recommend them (they were recommended to me).

We have used Bill Howe Plumbing in the past and received good service from them - so when we had a clog in the pipes from our kitchen and garage we called them again! After doing a camera scan it was determined that we had a broken pipe - three feet into our living room - under the cement slab.To say this created a massive anxiety attack - would have been an understatement!! 😱Within days they sent out our technician Rico Rivera 945.Rico was awesome!(As was his assistant Dil)Rico was always punctual - and always let me know by text - or a call when he would be arriving.Rico was very knowledgeable. Technician did a fast, efficient job since he explained the problem we were experiencing with our water heater. Last year by this same time we had similar problem and the Technician from another company who did the inspection requested the part which was under guarantee but he never called back. We ended up calling another company and that part was not needed to be replaced but the problem was solved. Once again, I am having same problem but this time came with a different experience since by mistake someone who is new in the company did not let me know that the water heater model beginning with the letters XG came defective and they do not give service to them any longer. Just a waste of time and having my husband lost one day of work waiting for the technician. Not a very satisfied customer at all.

The water heater in my mother-in-laws house started to leak after only 4 years in service. I checked the installation of the old one and found it to be very shoddy. It sits outside in a dedicated closet. The installation details were not filled out, it was not in a pan but sitting on the cement floor. The connections were not really that secure. I shut it all down, and told her to call Bill Howe. They came out last year and fixed a clogged main line with great efficiency.She told me it was installed, so I went over to check it out. The installation was very good. It is now centered in the closet, sitting in a non-rust pan raised off the ground, all the paperwork is accessible, the details are filled out on the stickers, the plumbing and gas lines are new and properly routed. Just an outstanding job and great attention to detail all around.They are local and care about what they do, more so than other plumbers and pipe-fitters I have dealt with. Clarence even diagnosed another, unrelated leak I had in a different bathroom, and gave my son a quick lesson on how to best address that. Charles my technician came out to do some landscape area hydro jetting. First off let me say I have never used Bill Howe before, so as the HOA President for my complex I wanted a local company to do some area jetting. The whole organization was top notch, from the Reps answerring the phone (especially during these pandemic times) to the Rep who (Hector) came my property.Charles arrived, surveyed the property and I explained what was needed. He was very attentive, walked me through each phase of the work to be done. To say he was thorough is an understatement. As requested, I sent photos of the gas water heater and gas regulator thermostat when I scheduled the appointment to make sure the technician had the necessary gas gas regulator for replacement on his truck. The technician said he had never seen the photos. The technician was here for 5 minutes, just enough time to tell us that he did not have the part on his truck. He said he could replace the whole water heater. He was unwilling to try to get the burners to turn on. We were very disappointed, since we are without hot water.Updated 6-1-23:We spoke with Steven at Bill Howe who was very understanding and apologetic. He arranged for a Senior Technician DJ Williams to come out to remove the old gas water heater and reconnect the water line. DJ understood the project and accomplished it professionally, to our complete satisfaction. The project was completed promptly, which we appreciated since we were without hot water.Thanks to Steven and DJ for getting this done.

I have used Bill Howe twice now and their staff is excellent. The timing is punctual (which is probably my favorite part) and they know what they are doing. We had a clogged kitchen drain that was past the p-trap. We live on there 6th floor of a building so we needed a plumber that had at least a 75 foot snake device to ensure that the clog would not affect the lower units when cleared. Bill Howe was very prompt and responsive. They were able to quickly get the insurance and contractor documents my HOA needed for them to come into the building to do the work. Oscar from Bill Howe was great. He was on time, very professional and worked well with the building facilities folks to complete the job. He also cleaned up the work area well after he was done. Way too pricey. they want a $200 just to look at a wall heater and then another $195 an hour. I can go buy a wall heater for that which I did. Your answer still come out and give you a quote for free. I thought you'd be at least look at the heater. All he did say $200 plus 195 an hour. Not how many hours it's going to take or anything. Got to go call them again for a heater

Came to my house on-time, offered to wear a mask (good manners!) listened carefully to my issue (clogged kitchen drain) checked the other drains and toilets because I thought I had a mainline clog, carefully explained plumbing in a 1950’s house after I asked him one thousand questions. Then tried unclogging from the kitchen but ultimately had to go up on the roof. Once he was finished he cleaned up, apologized for the tiny smudge in the sink and was off. His work was great and his attitude was excellent. He was very patient with my questions and seemed happy to explain the dynamics of pipes and vents. We have used Bill Howe on a couple of occasions and would highly recommend them. Great experience all around. I called and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist, and journeyman plumber Corey K. was at my home the same day to install new valves in our laundry room. It's obvious that Corey takes great care and pride in his work, and he even went out of his way to help me install a new washer and dryer after finishing with the valves. He saw that I could use the help and jumped right in with no questions asked and no extra charge. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I can't say enough about the quality of service but more importantly, the people at bill Howe. I called on Sunday afternoon because my water heater pilot went off. Instead of charging me $253/hr the nice woman that answered suggested a phone call. <2min later I received a call from Brandon who very patiently walked me through how to re-light my pilot light. Here's the kicker. He was ON ANOTHER JOB SIMULTANEOUSLY doing the exact same thing and was able to support me. Incredible.This experience validates a full pipe lining they performed last year, which was very costly but there team made the experience well worth it and I'm so relieved to never have to search for another plumbing company ever again in San Diego!Two thumbs way up!!!

This was our first time using Bill Howe. We had a clog in one of the drain lines. Pattric arrived on time and was awesome! He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and efficient. He helped us understand what the problem was and gave us great tips. Pricing was very reasonable especially for a same day after hours call. We will definitely use Bill Howe in the future for all plumbing needs and request Pattric!

2023Super frustrated with my experience today. Made 2 appointments and 2 different properties and was given 3 hour windows for each once. They didn't show up until will over an hour past the three hour window for each appointment. They didn't call to say they would not make the three hour window. They sent an automated text to me for each and said to chat if I had any questions, but they did not respond to my texts. I called several times, was given misinformation about who would be coming, when they would be coming, why they missed my appointments, they said they'd call back and never did. At the end spoke to manager Steven who just wanted to talk over me, be snotty and not listen, nor do anything to resolve the situation. I left a good review before for my issue with a sewer pipe, but I can't recommend nor would I ever use Bill Howe for inside plumbing issues again.2019I had Anderson plumbing out regarding a clogged sewer pipe. They charged $144 to unclog, and wanted $6k to fix the pipe. They said I had to make a decision immediately regarding fixing the pipe which seemed off to me, and the price seemed high. Sewer backed up again within 24 hours.I had Bill Howe out, and they sent Louie who was amazing and extremely helpful. He unclogged the drain within 15 mins, and took a huge chunk of roots/sludge out. He showed me how he could tell where the problem was, and made sure there was not problem anywhere else on the line. Anderson had told me they could not get their camera past the block so there could be problems out into the street that I would be responsible for. Louie just but the camera in a separate access point and was able to make sure the drain was clear.I had Bill Howe fix the compromised drain pipe, and their price was less than $4k, which was more than a third less than Anderson. There was great communication the whole time. Scott did the work fixing the pipe and he was nice, professional, clean and thorough.

Luis quickly took care of a blocked drain after normal working hours. He was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Will definitely ask for him by name if we ever need anything else.

All their staff, from the technicians to the customer service reps are consistently reliable, helpful, and responsive. They had to cancel an appt (short staff due to COVID, understandably) when I had a plumbing emergency. They were able to send someone else within a few hours for temporary relief that held us over until the full fix could be done well. Appreciate their professionalism and courtesy. Great experience, I am hopeful that the repair lasts and we don’t have to call again, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Everything was great except Bill Howe's scheduler called us at 2:00 PM on Monday to ask if they could reschedule to 2:00 PM on Tuesday; their guy was running late. Bill Howe's guy showed up at 2:00 PM on Tuesday to tell us that he didn't have with him all the parts required to repair our toilet. Could he come back - with the necessary parts - between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Wednesday? What could we say? Sure.

I had such a positive experience with this company! They provided a free consult and quote to assess my old toilets and new toilet problem. I was confused by the work but Tony explained how a new flange needed installed. Tony and his coworker Vicente did an excellent job! I had a massive pipe leak, with subsequent flooding in my basem*nt. Saul arrived quickly and assessed the problem. He showed and explained what the problem was. Less than 24 hours I had a new hot water heater installed. The previous one had been installed incorrectly, so we brought it up to code. Saul was one of the best service technician I've had in a long time!In the meantime, I had a problem with a furnace that another company refused to look at because of the furnace location. Saul called Bill Howe AC/Furnace department and Philip was there within the hour. Within 3 hours he had replaced the defective piece and I now have my heat back on. They had not.They show up, with no water heater to install. Come back following week, take out old one, new one does not fit. Now I have no heater at all.Called the office to ensure they understood we were now without hot water at all, they claimed it was no ones fault and these things happen.Left us with no hot water for 4 days while they procured one to fit - Supervisor Steve pleasant but seemed indifferent that we had to go multiple days without a warm shower. Supervisor Nick also pleasant, said he would call back/update - but never did.I called to get my own update of when they were coming back to finish the install - they only new job status as of the previous week with no heater...Finally finished, Tech Rick was personally great and did good plumbing work. He did need to leave the job multiple times and go get nipples/90 degree fittings from nearby supply house to finish the job, I would expect a plumber to come with these type of supplies in the truck...2 Grease spots on carpet, 1 dinged/scraped stairs hand rail. 6 days after estimate and $~600 more than the ~1600 estimate.No mention of or compensation at all for their multiple logistics errors and our 4+ days without hot water to shower.Good plumbers, Terrible Planners/ communications/supervisors/logistics.I'll bet this review is never read by Bill. Bill Howe Plumbing was wonderful. They came out the same day I called. Fixed my toilet super fast. The technician was courteous, professional and clean. After he left, you would not even know he was here except that my toilet was WORKING!!!!

HiI hired BILLHOWE on Dec 23 after my condo flooded.The dry out crew were excellent, informative and knowledgeable.The rebuild was a disaster.After getting the bid, BILLHOWE restoration subtracted to different companies.Individual vendors came from different companies and did not speak English. They would come for few hours and had no idea what it was done or what to do.I spent daily when the build up was in process to show them the work.The build up took from January till middle of April to complete with extremely poor workmanship.I was homeless from Dec 23 to April 14, 2022.Now in January 23 I see some cracks in the ceiling and worries me.Do they suppose to give me a certification of completion?

I had a great experience with Bill Howe Plumbing! I came home today to backed up drains in showers and sinks. I called in a panic and spoke to a helpful girl named Kayla who really put my mind at ease and said someone would be able to come today and gave me a 2 hour window. Louis was the plumber who showed up and he was awesome. He came on time, was nice,and professional. I expected it to take hours and cost a bunch, but he was done in 30 minutes and price was more than fair. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!!!!

He was communicative during the entire process and let me know what was going on and what was being checked. It was a terrific experience. I have used Bill Howe numerous times over the last 5 months to help with cleaning/lining sewer, routing new gas and water lines, installation of new faucets and water filtration. Every time I’ve had a wonderful experience and the professionals has even gone above and beyond to help with our remodel. I definitely consider them my “go-to” call for all future plumbing.

Yesterday one of their Technicians came to provide a quote on repair of our AC System in our office. I own a multi-unit commercial building.1. He was not polite to my tenant. He was definitely happy to be there or do his job. Maybe a very bad day for him?? She had to run after him to get details on the assessment.2. When we spoke he said I had two choices one of which was to add more freon at $1000 and they do not provide any warranty or the other was to replace the whole system which would cost 13K.I told him that the building in all the years I have owned it never had a recharge on the freon so that the leak must be very very slow. It makes more sense to recharge it. In general the AC has very little usage. I asked if he saw the leak, he said no but that it must be a big leak. And that if he recharged it, it could be gone in a few days and they would not warranty it and that's why he recommended a brand new system.I had another company come out the same day. They took care of it for $390. The AC system works and my tenant is happy. I would be cautious about working with them on AC related projects. The experience felt that the service man was greedy, he pushed for the big ticket sell with no indication of consumer perspective and common sense decision. He was clearly irritated to be there.I do not recommend them for AC projects.

On 07/31/23 a technician from Bill Howe came to our house to check on a refrigerant leak from our mini split system. Since the system was all out of refrigerant and fixing it was so costly, the technician suggested we could add some to see how long it would last and continue doing that until we were ready to fix it, instead of fixing it right away. He added 3lbs and charged us $427.Two weeks later, the first time we attempted to use the A/C it was not cooling; it had already lost all of the refrigerant without any usage whatsoever. The technician gave us a bad recommendation by suggesting we put refrigerant and spend so much money when it was going to leak out so quickly. So the money we spent was useless. He did not give us the correct information. When I called them to complain they offered to deduct that amount from fixing the leak. I am not interested in ever working with this company again since I don't consider they are credible or efficient. I requested they reimburse me the amount paid for the refrigerant and the they said they would check with the head manager. I am still waiting for the call back a week later. The whole situation is very disconcerting, I feel this is not a very trustworthy or professional company and I do not recommend it at all.On 08/23 I posted a review not recommending this company because it had advised me to add refrigerant into my mini split system which had a leak, and it totally leaked out within two weeks without any usage. As the company read my review they contacted me, re-evaluated and reimbursed me the $427 they had charged me.

We had service Tech Robby, from Bill Howe, come to the rescue. He diagnosed the toilet’s issue within minutes, he was effective and efficient fixed the problems immediately. We had an estimate that was way over the top from another co. And we were grateful for his work & fair pricing! Great Customer Service! Great pricing!

Chris came at the exact time he said he would in his call to me half an hour before he arrived. He was professional, clean, friendly and got my sink fixed properly and thoroughly. My next plumbing job will be with Bill Howe plumbing and if Chris is available, that would be grand. Definitely 5 stars across the board!

The redo after 6 weeks was done very well and even found some issues with a video scope. These guys are great, have excellent equipment and know how to use it. I did not expect a no charge for this, but they did. I have used Bill Howe for well over 5 years now and have always been well served. If fact, they resolved another company's screw up a few years ago that could have closed off a drain line with a liner. Highly recommended company.

I had the plumbing replaced including the plumbing for the kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and the cast iron sewer line underneath the house replaced. I also had approximately 56’ of sewer re-lined.Patrick came out to do the sink plumbing and sewer line replacement. He did a phenomenal job. He was professional, and the work looks stellar.Zach and James came out to do the lining. They also did a fantastic job. They even took the time to write up a note for my neighbor who wasn’t exactly pleased to learn that we share a sewer line. They went above and beyond.Melissa was my contact with the company, and she ensured everything went as planned.Overall, I am very happy with the work completed. I would hire these folks again or recommend them to others.

Dante did a great job of replacing my garbage disposal today. I bought the disposal (consumer reports has great recommendations) and Dante switched it out for the old one in about 1.5 hours. He was courteous, quick, and fixed a leaky pipe as well!Also, when I called the company to set up the appointment, it was easy and they had great availability. I will definitely use this company again.

Just want to thank DeShawn for all he did for us today!! Not only did I feel like I could trust him... but he felt like family. He made us all so comfortable and helped us with our drainage issues and told me what to try and look at next to keep our plumbing good. He was just an amazing person all the wa y around. Bill Howe plumbing has been awful. They've been servicing my building since I moved here 2 years ago. At first, we constantly had no hot water. Everytime Bill Howe came along, their solution was to shut off the water completely for 6 hours. I wish I was joking but in my first 6 months I was living here, Bill Howe was at our building working on hot water issues nearly every other week. One time a pipe burst in the garage and they repaired it and it burst AGAIN the following week. It has happened to me more than once that I'll be washing a load of clothes in the washer and Bill Howe comes along and shuts off the water for hours while my clothes sit their damp and soapy. They never give notice when they are going to turn off the water....I understand emergency water shut offs...but I doubt it's been an emergency every single time. Two days ago my master bathroom had no water. No water in the sink, no water in the shower and no water in the toilet. However, there's water in the kitchen and the other bathroom....so when a plumber (not Bill Howe) came out to look at the bathroom. After going to the unit below me and seeing if they have problems, the plumber came up to let me know what happened...the unit below me had a leak which flooded the unit below them, so Bill Howe shut the water off on all three floors...they just failed to loop me in. Sorry it was inconvenience for you to notify me of the issue.

New York Dave was great, very professional and a pleasure to have help with my plumbing issue.The only problem i had was that my appointment time was from 9am to 12pm and the Tech didn't get to my house until around 3:30pm. I did get a call from the office to tell me they were running late and that my time would be for later in the day, but I had taken the day off of work so that i could be there in the morning. So that sucked.Once the Tech (New York Dave) arrived he took care of the issue in an hour. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me before he started working. He did a great job and I will ask for him the next time I need to use Bill Howe. New York Dave, 5 Star Service.

I have been using Bill Howe Plumbing since I moved to California ten years ago and have found the service to be excellent, very professional, and timely.The real test was two years ago when I came back to a burst pipe. The Restoration Team worked miracles by overseeing and repairing a major mess, relieving me to pick out flooring and new refrigerator.I highly recommend them.

Definitely ask for Isaiah. We have owned many houses and he is by far the best plumber we have encountered. He's incredibly honest and extremely resourceful. When he was with another co, he solved a water line reroute issue with a unique solution that no other plumber found. He saved us a ton of money. He will also give you great advice on cost efficient plumbing solutions like the best faucets and water filter systems. I was able to find him after moving to Bill Howe and he did a great job on our filtration system ( saved us money on that too.) Isaiah gets 5 stars and Bill Howe gets credit for not trying to overcharge their hourly rates and charge fees for estimates like many other in the area.

I used Bill Howe on a Sunday and had a great experience. I called Saturday night for an issue with a water heater. On Sunday Corey was dispatched to the rental to fix the water heater. Troy came to our house on a Saturday because I had succeeded in clogging our kitchen drain by putting rice down the disposal. Even though Troy had already been through a very long, hard day, he was professional, conscientious and courteous. Unclogging the pipes that were sealed shut by the disgusting putty that had previously been rice was a difficult task but Troy succeeded. Prompt, quick, and very reasonably priced! They fixed our clogged drain in about 20 minutes from the time they arrived until they left.

Tenants called and said we had a clogged drain pipe that was due to a grading issue stated by the plumber they had come out. So I called Bill Howe for a second opinion since they first guy wanted 3,500$ to fix. Saul came out who has been to the house before and actually scoped the pipe to find out it was not a grading issue but a clog that was cause by feminine hygiene products. He recommended hydro jetting the pipes and check the drainage himself to see if it was indeed a grading issue which it wasn’t. The pipe was cleared and no issues since. saved me thousands, love the honesty and professionalism. I highly recommend Saul from Bill Howe.

Had a great experience with the service provided. My tech was dashawn Elliot 758, he was friendly and professional and very knowledgeable of his job. He even gave me some great cleaning tips for my drains and took the time to show me where the clean out is located. Bill Howe should be proud to have such a great representative of your company. Chris from Bill Howe got my new sink, dishwasher, and fridge water line all hooked up for me and left nothing but a tidy work area and functional, leak-free plumbing when he left. He was also accommodating and patient when I was missing things required for the install. The Bill Howe service reps were also communicative and helpful in responding to my various questions before the appointment.

Darryl did an excellent job with repairing the water heater. Professional and completed repair in less time than originally estimated. The only issue was the length of time for the part to be delivered we had no hot water for an entire week. That is one thing need to improve on.

The narrative on how they treat a certain group of people is LOUD and if it is not BILL Howe it’s someone in management.As a DISABLED WOMAN who is a MILITARY VETERAN; this has been the worst experience. Feel taken more interested how much they can get out from USAA than fixing my home.I feel uncomfortable ask a simple question or asking for repair damages caused by their team because it turns into a WHOLE thing. I’m sent the manager or BOSS MOISES.My project was subcontracted then subcontracted by the subcontractor because they got busy. It’s been passed around so much. So many little damages. Your team caused damage Just FIX it, don’t add additional charges.

My water heater took a dump. I called several places and had 3 estimates. Trevor came in from Bill Howe. He was fantastic. Deshawn gave us great tips to avoid future plumbing disasters in our home.Eric repaired a broken spigot shooting out water which caused us to turn off the water. Dave did an outstanding job of installing my new water heater. Was on time did a fabulous job and left everything clean. He explained everything to me about the new water heater and recommendations. I would definitely suggest him his work ethic is great!!!

The two gentlemen who ended up doing the work to fix the leak in the ceiling pipes were excellent. Leading up to that, the first person we called out on a Saturday was not thorough and seemed like he did not want to do a big job so he left quickly. The next day AJ showed up he was awesome, but he was sent with an apprentice and as it was a two person job, they could not start it. He came back on the third day with a proper helper and they seem to have done a great job. Seems like communication from dispatch on the weekend was not great. Overall, a Friday legal is fixed by Tuesday so if you days without a shower was not the end of the world but also not necessary. They did spend three hours here plus the time on the two and the pricing fair.

Tris performed scheduled maintenance on our tankless water heater, and provided a thorough education session on the unit and the process he was performing while conducting the work. Clearly an experienced professional, he was polite, engaging with great customer service skills. I give him an A++.

Owing a historic home is always an adventure. Our 1928 gas furnace was turned off for termite fumigation and because the crawl space is minimal we needed a professional to get it up and running. I called Bill Howe Plumbing and got an appointment that week. Dan and came out and bravely squeezed under the house. After inspecting the furnace, he determined that we had a small leak in one of the lines and needed to replace a valve. He put the valve on order. I got a call when the part was in and was able to schedule for the next day. Dan came back, replaced the valve, and got the furnace relit and functioning. We also needed a water line installed for our refrigerator. He was able to use an existing cold water line from our sink and plumb it under the house and across the kitchen to the refrigerator. His work was meticulous and careful, as it required drilling into the floor and under sink cabinet. I highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing for their expert knowledge and professionalism!

I called Bill Howe to have my whole house water filter and water softener installed. I ended up moving my water heater at the same time to free up some unusable space in my garage. I have used Bill Howe Plumming for multiple plumbing needs around my house. Recently they did a lining of my kitchen drain line and also my mainline in the front yard. They do a great job, they are courteous and on time and clean up well after their work is done. They answer any questions that I have patiently and thoroughly. I highly recommend this company for plumbing. They also have checked my air conditioner system,, they did not try to tell me anything after it was complete. I thought that was good, they were honest and thorough.

Darryl Fountain was my plumber he was fast efficient friendly and was reasonably priced. He fixed my leaking tub facet and fixed the turn-off at the front of my place. I would recommend him to fix all my plumbing needs

We called Bill Howe because we had a sticky faucet in the bathroom vanity. They sent a plumber who worked for several hours and charged us $738 for the service. The first time we used the faucet after this service, it came off in our hands. The next day they sent another plumber who took the faucet and said he'd return with a replacement. After two weeks, with no time frame for when the new part would arrive, we complained about the hole in our sink where the faucet should be and they sent someone to put in the old faucet until the new one came. After over a month, the new part arrived and they sent someone to install it. Their follow-up service was great, but we think $738 to repair a sticky faucet was extremely expensive. We will not use Bill Howe in the future.

After telling her what I was looking for she found a plumber who could install my water filtration system the next day! Not only did Martin show up on time but he was 30 minutes early! He told me what was going to happen and asked my preferences for the installation. A part wasn’t working properly and he had the piece to replace it! After having our home Termite Tented for 4 days and returning home to a steady leak from our water heater drain faucet, I knew I needed help ASAP. I called Bill Howe and asked for a technician after hours (it was 6pm), and they had one on the phone to me within 2 minutes of hanging up from the call center. By 6:45, Chris was at my door and ready to get to work. He did the repair in an hour and was friendly and knowledgeable. The repair went off without a hitch and we are completely satisfied with the service provided by both members of Bill Howe that we came into contact with. To begin, the technician was professional, efficient and friendly. I have no issue with the technician.I can only say do your research because I was charged $250 for less than one hour's worth of labor. The part was under warranty, so it was free but the labor was overpriced and I felt like I was being ripped off.I have no issue with efficiency, but this was far overpriced and I do not think I will use this company again. I really feel as though I was being ripped off because I didn't have the knowledge and now I'm stuck with them for the life of the water heater, which they also overcharged me for. Moreover, the part was installed originally only two years ago and turned out defective (?). It went bad only 2 years later. If it fails again, I'm going to be ripped off again because the warranty for labor is only 1 year.

They sent me an estimate for re piping a garage water heater. The estimate had a total number with no details. (Later on I realize why). They did the job very quickly, but left 3 dry wall holes in the garage. I inquired why are those holes left there? Well, it was not under the initial estimate. I ask: when someone proposed a job to be done, means leave the property as it was before. Silence from the person on the phone!!! I felt decided and taking advantage. Now, I understand why the initial estimate was not detailed!!!!!

Bill Howe's team did a complete re-pipe and sewer lining for our 60+ yr old house in Serra Mesa. The work was first rate, done very quickly and was thousands less than our other quotes. I feel very fortunate that I called Bill Howe plumbing for a second quote on a piece that had broken in my shower. When Dave showed up he gave me hope that he could fix it for a reasonable cost and not the thousands of dollars the first plumber gave me. We hadn’t had any of our plumbing problems fixed in 2020 - we wanted to wait until we felt it was safe to do so. I had an estimate from another plumber that was higher, the work suggested would have been more invasive, I was asked to buy parts, and it was hard to understand him. Another plumbing company charged just for coming over to do an estimate. My neighbor uses Bill Howe so I thought a free estimate would be worth a try. Tom who did the original estimate was very reassuring that a cartridge replacement for our shower didn’t require cutting drywall, the leak under one sink was simple, as well as the other repairs. Juan was very professional, explained everything and was very good about asking questions. In the end he actually drove to Chula Vista to get a part so that we wouldn’t have to be without water/a shower. He had the other replacement parts, and although it took twice as long (not his fault), everything works beautifully and I will call Bill Howe next time for plumbing problems.

During the start of the pandemic our heat and air-conditioning system went out. We contacted Bill Howe Plumbing Heating and Air-conditioning and had an estimate for the replacement of the system within a week. The system that they installed surpassed our expectations, was completed on time, corrected all the issues we had and included an exceptional warranty. It's not often I spend time giving a review. My time is valuable as a financial consultant, and as I discovered so is Darryl Fountain's. This man's professionalism vastly exceeded any expectations, and was my champion when in need. I had a water heater that needed to be replaced asap due to a rusting tank which is essentially a time bomb in the garage. Darryl rearranged the schedule and made a next day replacement a reality under the bids of other competitors in the area. Not only was the replacement done in a timely manner, but it sure does look good. Hats off into taking pride in your work and going the extra mile. Look at that solder joint.Installation is as professional as it gets. I'd pay double for this kind of service, and the value Darryl provided. This man deserves a raise.

I had a hot water pipe break under the slab of my house. Yikes! I called Bill Howe and the response was cool and collected but also had a sense of urgency to come help me.The technician/ plumber arrived 5 minutes early, was clean, courteous and, yes, had a sense of urgency to stop firther damage fast.The technician detected the location of the leak very fast using high end equipment and provided several options to fix the piping and the pros and cons of each.His work was swift but of high quality. Clean welds, clean cuts in the drywall (which make it easier to repair) and vacuumed up after himself.Also along the way when damage was found to other pipes he showed photos of what he found and even tightened a loose fitting in the attic when he observed an unsafe condition with a pipe.Once the work was complete the tech explained everything he did and he left the house cleaner than he found it. He left no evidence of dust or work having been done.Bottom line, Bill Howe and their technicians have mastered the work they do and I will call them again for any future plumbing issues.

All aspect of services were great, from service reps to plumber. I did receive conflicting info between 3 different employees:1) Two employees told me there is a flat rate of $82 to unplug a bathtub drain. One phone rep quoted $82-174 for same service.2) One phone rep told me downstairs neighbors would have to be contacted in advance to coordinate appointment so their plumber could check their pipes are OK after completing service in my place.But when Shaun arrived to conduct free estimate, he said he could unplug drain immediately and would check with downstairs neighbors After he unplugged drain. I assume, then, that’s normal procedure, Not what I was told over the phone.

I have used the company for HOA related repairs and had a great experience. This time if was my water heater leaking and I had another plumber here that gave a very high quote so I decided to get a second opinion. I immediately thought of bill Howe and they gave me a considerably more reasonable quote and they got someone out within hours to do the job. I will never use anyone else.

I was very happy when I called Bill Howe plumbing and was able to get an appointment on the same day within a couple of hours, because we all know that a day or two without your sink or shower is a real inconvenience. I was even more pleased with the plumber that arrived. Asher called me 30 minutes before arriving and was very professional and very good at his job. Very impressed with Brandon. He figured out the problem was a blocked valve, unusual & rarely seen issue. It was a tiny piece of rubber preventing the water from flowing. He might’ve tried to sell me a new faucet but instead the troubleshooting paid off.

Well, what started out being only a toilet replacement, ended up being a 3 day event with holes in drywall and almost in outside stucco as well. We were luck enough to have Mikey and Brian help us! They were very honest, communicative, detailed, & hardworking. At one point, they were not 100% sure about next steps due to the funky location & structure of the piping. So, they called their supervisor who ended coming over to offer his advice. We now have an awesome toilet that, we can say with certainty, has been properly installed I highly recommend Mikey & Brain from Bill Howe!

Once again, I called upon my favorite repair company, Bill Howe. This is totally unsolicited.Just wouldn't be an old homeowner without these guys. Just finished having my gas lines replaced, my furnace duct work replaced, and this time, now had to have my corroded out and patched sewer line replaced. All repairs were at my request. Never any pressure to act on estimates. Work always done efficiently, time lines met, quality products and happy employees. Never have had to call them back on a job. They will continue to be my go-to company. May not be the cheapest, but have learned over 30 years of owning this house, you get what you pay for. They are fair priced. I like companies where the employees are proud of the company they work for. Shows in their work.

We called to have a kitchen sink leak fixed. After repairing the faucet, he noticed the water pressure was pretty high. He checked outside and in our garage (before and after our regulator) and discovered the pressure was almost double what it should be. He was able to make that repair on the same trip. Very professional and pleasant. I would recommend them for others.

On July 25th we had a fire sprinkler line damaged which shot water into our 3rd floor loft area for an hour before our savior Matthew R. (from Bill Howe) showed up to patch the pipe and was actually able to get the fire dept. to show up to shut the line off totally. Additionally, a creep water mitigation guy in a creepy white van showed up and commenced to harassing me trying to get me to let him in the house to start working. He wouldn't listen to me, so Matthew stepped in and told him he needed to go. Matthew waited for Darwin (also from Bill Howe) to show before he left. Darwin was just as amazing as Matthew. He came in, I walked him thru and showed him where all the damaged areas were, etc. Darwin painstakingly and VERY patiently dealt with our negligent/incompetent property manager for a couple hours before having no choice but to accept defeat and leave us in a very flooded home (all 3 floors flooded). Fast forward a week later, when said property manager finally allowed someone to start working, it was Darwin who showed up again. Still as great as the first time. He was very patient with us, since we had to pack, etc. to get out. I asked for paths to be left to certain things in the garage, he was more than happy to oblige. Anytime I came to the house he was more than patient and answered any questions I had and not one time seemed bothered by my presence. He was always very considerate of us and our things. Things went downhill a bit from here, NOT Bill Howe's fault at all. But super fast forward to last week when work started back up and was coming to a finish. Yesterday, Skylar R. (also from Bill Howe) came to hook a majority of our plumbing back up. The subcontractors threw away part of my faucet and he let me know and I opted to just buy an entire new faucet, he wasn't pushy about it at all. Just let me know what my options were. He was quick, efficient, and extremely professional. Just like Matthew and Darwin he was not once bothered by my questions. Also, one of the most impressive things of all 3 of them was their attitude toward me as a woman. They never once spoke down to me, etc. just because I'm a chick. :) Our Project Manager (Jamie) was also fantastic and very professional. Anytime I text he is quick to call and update me and stays in touch and on top of the job, stopping by to check on progress. The subs Bill Howe used for our job were also professional and did great work. We had no choice but to move back in while they were still working. They were kind and patient and worked around our things, even moving stuff to clean and pick up their painters tape, then moving things back. They were very thorough when finishing up, making sure they cleaned up after themselves, etc. I would definitely use Bill Howe again for any of our household needs and highly recommend them.So, to summarize: Matthew R., Darwin, and Skylar R. (listed in order of appearance) are AMAZING and Bill Howe is lucky to have them!

Chris was amazing! We had a severely clogged garbage disposal and he was able to evaluate the problem and replace it in no time (less than an hour)! He was also very friendly and personable. It was much more affordable than I was expecting which was also a major bonus!

Our water heater went out the weekend before Christmas 2019. We called several plumbing companies for quotes and they all seemed pretty high. So, we decided to call Bill Howe and they were very reasonable; they came out on Monday, which was the same day we called them. They gave me a estimated quote over the phone. They were out by 11am and gave me a quote that I was happy with. The young man that came out, I believe his name was Brandon, was very professional and knowledgeable and installed our new water heater before 3pm that same day. I will definitely recommend Bill Howe to family and friends.

We were extremely happy with the service Ignacio and Jorge provided in repairing our main sewer line. There were 2 areas of root intrusion. One area required inserting a liner to repair the cracked pipe and the second area required them to replace the fitting where our sewer line connected to the main city line. In order to gain access required them to jack hammer our concrete slab since the cleanout access was not accessible. They were personable, thorough, meticulous, explained everything as they progressed, extremely careful, and were truly customer oriented! They're both a great asset to Bill Howe Plumbing. First time and last time customer!! My tech milked an hour job so I was charged for 2 1/2 hours. Did repairs that were unnecessary to charge me more. Very disappointing as a new customer. I do not recommend!!!!! I had my own new garbage disposal that I needed installed only and they tried to charge me for one.

Lendale was a pleasure. He was courteous, professional, and did a wonderful job. I have not been able to wash dishes in my kitchen sink for 3 weeks. I tried all sorts of youtube “fixes” and wasted so much time. Lendale came over and fixed my clog in one hour. You could tell he enjoys his job and will go above and beyond to finish the job. Josh Troyes of Bill Howe came to clean out a slow-draining kitchen sink. He was professional yet friendly, careful to lose doors behind him and walking through the side yard to avoid wet shoes inside the house (greatly appreciated). At the end of the service, he gave me tips on how to keep my kitchen drain from getting clogged. Altogether, my experience with Bill Howe Plumbing was extremely satisfactory. Our plumber today Lendale did an excellent job unblocking our kitchen sink. It has been blocked for weeks now and we even had a plumber from another company come and try to fix it last week but couldn’t manage to do the job. Michael was our hero!! We had a broken cartridge in our shower handle and he was able to remove it and get our shower working, despite all if of the challenges of working with 80 year old plumbing. He was transparent and explained every step of the way. And all of this on a Saturday. So grateful!!

I was hesitant on making the call for repairs because the pandemic has left me 85% unemployed and so finances are tight but the problems we’re starting to mount.I’ve used Bill Howe Plumbing in the past and I find that their service to cost is well worth it.I was quoted an initial amount to have them come out for an hours worth of work, which I knew could easily be accomplished.So what had started out to be about $165 job and that was a fortune to me at that moment! ended up being $600!!!!Changing the guts inside the toilet tank, & installing a new kitchen faucet because of a pinhole leak in the old one and then…..surprise surprise I needed a new valve for my water pressure just outside my back door. I chocked back the tears because I knew I needed to get it done. I felt completely inadequate to be stressed over the money. The repairman Doug, was exceptional he did a great job, extremely thorough, & very clean

Great experience with Howe Plumbing! Relatively simple garbage disposal replacement, but at the initial call was able to a basic idea of the cost of the service, and was able to purchase the disposal I wanted at Home Depot to install separate from the service. Scott arrived timely, was professional, efficient and pleasant! In and out in an hour, and now I can once again grind away!

Mr. Davis was professional and timely with his work. He let me know what was going on with the drain and suggested preventative maintenance later. Basically our drain was clogged with nasty gunk and if the preventive maintenance was done it wouldn’t have happened. He kept a clean work station and ensured that no mess was left behind. It is obvious that this company cares about its customers. We had technicians install new ducts for us, and they were outstanding. They went out of their way to keep us informed about what they were doing, and to make sure we were satisfied with their work. The technicians also made sure that the house was as clean (if not cleaner) after they were done. True professionals. I am very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend this company. Fantastic Company.

Our hot water heater went out on one of the coldest days of the year. Due to the age of heater, it was time for a replacement. The first estimate we got for a replacement, from a well-known competitor, was WAY too high. Isaiah from Bill Howe came out and gave us multiple options with fair pricing, no hard sales pressure. The unit we wanted could not be installed until the next day, but we have hot water again in less than 24 hours from the call. We paid almost $1,000 less than the competitor wanted to charge. Isaiah was knowledgeable, pleasant, and completed the job in less than 2 hours. Thank You!

Had Dave Redfield from Bill Howe install a new hot water heater for us and on a scale of 1 to 10 - we give Dave a 12!! Installation was in a difficult place and with zero grumbling and a total positive attitude, Dave and an assistant (sorry, forgotten the assistant’s name, but he was equally positive) went to work. Polite, professional & very caring, the installation corrected shortcomings of the previous installation (which was done 11 years prior by a different company). And all done at a fair and good value price. Can’t recommend more highly.

Came home from vacation to a backed up toilet that was backfilling into the shower. It was a nice welcome home surprise for sure. I called Bill Howe as they’ve been great about helping me with this issue before. Our plumber Tony Millan was so great. He explained what the issue was and how he was going to fix it. He also suggested some great solutions to fix the root cause (no pun intended ) that creates our clogging issue which is roots in the sewer lines. He was friendly and respectful of our property as well as fast and efficient at tackling the problem at hand and clearing our clog. Next time we need a plumber I’ll make sure to request Tony!

I had Miguel Rodriguez come out and check out a valve change i needed changed because it was corroded, super informative. Juan Lopez was my technician that came out the day of service. Juan was super helpful and educated me on what to look for in valves and why the ones i had were bad. He also noticed a leak that i handnt noticed before and was able to fix that. Juan also diagnosed why my dishwasher was having draining issues. Long story short, when your dealing with pluming don’t mess around, especially in a condo. The two gentlemen were very kind in inspecting my concerns and educating me on why it was bad and improperly placed. Very helpful. Highly recommend.

I am so thankful we called Bill Howe when we found water pouring from our ceiling! We couldn't have been more pleased with the rapid response we received from Bill Howe Plumbing. Fortunately our situation was not a true emergency, although we needed it taken care of quickly. Last week, Doug from Bill Howe did a gas line repair on our house. And - holy cow - what a great experience! We had shopped four other plumbers for the job, but all four were questionable in one way or another. When Doug showed up, it was immediately apparent that he knew what he was doing and he wasn't jerking us around about the price. His quote was barely higher than the lowest of the other four, but his knowledge and transparency blew everyone else out of the water. We hired him on the spot, and he got it done that day. Such a good experience.We were reluctant with Bill Howe because it's such a big company; but this is now our go-to for plumbing in San Diego.

The technician unclogged the shower drain at a reasonable price. He was very careful to be neat & tidy. He explained how to do maintenance on the drain to avoid clogs. I will only use Bill Howe in the future.

Our water heater leaked and we needed a replacement ASAP. Having made negative experiences with a plumber in the past, we wanted to call Bill Howe because of the commercials. I found a leak in my kitchen ceiling at around 7pm tonight. I called Bill Howe 24 hour service and Manuel Valencia from Bill Howe was here within an hour to inspect the issue. Upon his arrival I let him know that I had a sleeping baby in the home as well as two dogs locked in the bathroom. I asked if there was any way he could do this whole inspection and fix super quiet. Well, within an hour Manuel was gone, my leak was identified and repaired, my baby is still sleeping, and my dogs are calm and relaxed. Best plumbing service I have ever had! Thanks Manuel!

My family and I have had a fantastic experience with Bill Howe! We first had a new hot water heater installed by Tris, who was very professional and knowledgeable in the field. We opted for a tankless water heater install, but due to some issues with our house design ended up replacing it with a new tank. Tris was great throughout the whole process and made it as seamless as possible, would highly recommend to anyone!Our next experience was with a new kitchen sink, faucet, and disposal installation. Due to our countertops being custom we had several issues finding a sink that would work for our pre-existing cutout. Troy was fantastic throughout the whole process and wanted to make sure things were done correctly. We ordered a few different sinks until we found one that finally fit. I would give Troy 10 stars if I could! Our new sink looks great and we couldn't be happier!

Clarence Davis was my technician. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my water leak under my bathroom sink and identified the problem quickly. Unfortunately we've been having ongoing leak issues at my home, and I've used Bill Howe for repair, replace, and remediation for all of our issues. They are always responsive, professional, and helpful, and I only use them for any plumbing needs since I found them earlier this year. Are they the cheapest? I have used Bill Howe on all of the properties I manage since 2018. Last week a plumber named Brian Rice came by to install a new water heater for one of my multi-family properties. It was leaking and leaving 5 of my tenants without Hot water. Bill Howe quickly dispatched Brian to come to fix the problem. He replaced and installed a new water heater and got this one up to code. Chris fixed a very stubborn clog in both home that affected two toilets, a bathtub and shower. I had another company come out prior and they said I needed to replace both toilets.Chris solved the problem in a short time. Rigoberto and his assistant were professional, efficient, and effective in clearing clogged sewer line. I realize a Saturday of TDay weekend, but $333 for a clean out that previously cost $130 with Howe!

Isaiah came to fix a broken cartridge in a shower that broke very early in the morning. It was a crazy situation because hot water was spraying out of the broken cartridge and I had to shut off water to entire house at 4am. Isaiah came first thing in the morning. He showed me that one option he had to fix it was to replace the hardware which had emergency shut off valves for both hot and cold right in the shower. I am so happy that he had this option, I had him do the same thing two bathrooms. The work he did looks great and everything works. And next time there is an issue I can localize the inconvenience to the singe shower and not the entire house.

Our toilet and bathtub were backed up. Luis was very helpful and professional. He was able to clear the drain. We will definitely have Bill Howe Plumbing do work for us again. Thank you!

I had a gas leak problem a month ago, and it was a nightmare waiting and finding plumbers to fix it. The first plumber I got fix the broken pipe but sdge came and said there’s still leak. The same plumber couldn’t find the leak and he was not doing it carefully at all, even the gauge he put at the gas meter was proven to be loose later on. He made me believe I have to hire helium company to find the leak in the walls. So I had several plumbers’ opinion and NO ONE suggest to do a more thorough test on all the possible exposed exit ( where the gas went through). I had no choice but look for the help of helium company, they didn’t do any test, they just started punching holes and found nothing, which cost me over 1 grand. I was so desperate, and my friend recommended me Bill Howe, I made an appointment and Corey, a gas specialist, shows up on time. He was super kind, friendly and professional. He examined my house and told me his plan, most importantly, he eased my nerves. ( all other plumbers say immediately I’ll need to replace all the gas pipe cuz I’ll never find the leak in the house) I had imagined all the worst possibilities and he’s the first guy told me there’s no need to imagine the worst. The second day he came on time ( which is so rare among all the plumbers I’ve dealt with) , he first found the gauge was leaking by using a better quality solution. Then he put another gauge to test the pressure inside the house. basically he’s the first one testing the pipe on both side of the regulator. Guess what? There’s no leak on all the pipes but only on that damn regulator in my garage! I can’t believe this is the answer I got from the whole battle with finding the leak….. beyond joyful… He then helped me pass city inspection, replace a new regulator, and SDGE came over to give us the gas back. This all happens in TWO days! And of all the time and money I spent on the wrong plumbers and company! I really appreciate Corey’s help, honesty and work ethic. And he’s so easy to be around, carefully explains everything. Bill Howe will now be my only choice for any issues in the house, finger crossed I won’t need their help any time soon!

After a late night leak called Bill Howe. Juan L arrived w/in 30 min and stayed until early morn when the pipe was fixed. He took the time to ensure there weren't any other issues too. Despite the late hour he was friendly and helpful! Returned a few days later to do follow up. Cannot say enough about this great experience!!

We had a leak in the upstairs shower drain pipe that left water puddles in the downstairs kitchen. The Bill Howe Technician was excellent! He came out twice to help find the leak. All initial estimates and advice were no charge.When it came to making the repair, the Plumbing technician came on time and did a great job - very professionally done! He explained what he was doing and why along the way during the repair and came in under the estimate.There would be 5 stars given the quality of work, friendliness, and professionalism of the plumbing technician. However, I gave 4 stars because the Bill Howe price estimating and billing process is somewhat opaque. You get a total price estimate and number of hours expected to be charged - nothing for materials, just a total price. When the job was completed an hour under the hours estimate, the price came to only $100 less than the estimate - and still no materials itemization on the price.I think the price was mostly fair as near as I can tell given the up front work not charged. I would use Bill Howe again no doubt. But next time, I will ask for a better explanation of the estimate and the final price.

I had a leak of unknown origin and was only made aware of it when my water bill arrived. I was able to get an appointment the day I called, and Marcus quickly narrowed down the location of the leak in my old irrigation system. He returned early this morning to isolate the leak and cap off the old pipe. He thoughtfully installed a valve so that I can install another system if needed. He communicated everything very clearly and worked quickly. This was my first time using Bill Howe and I was very impressed!

This review is for Francisco Covarrubias, Estimator, Bill Howe PHARFS. I had flooding and water damage in my condo in March 2023 due to a valve busting and a second water emergency in July 2023 when my water heater leaked water from the top. I called Bill Howe, they sent a plumber the same day, and the plumbing emergency repairs were done. Unfortunately, the water damage had extended to both bathrooms and damaged the ceiling of the condo downstairs. On both incidents, Francisco Covarrubias, Estimator, Bill Howe, went to my condo to assess the damage and provide me with a water mitigation and reconstruction estimate of the repairs. He arrived on time, very knowledgeable, educated, professional, and with a great personality. Also, he’s Bilingual and it was very helpful for me to be able to talk to him in Spanish about the damages and next steps moving forward. Francisco explained to me that he has worked in the past with USAA, my insurance company, and he prepared the cost estimate taking into consideration USAA’s requirements. As with any project, the reconstruction project had delays and extended longer than expected due to unforeseen circ*mstances. Nevertheless, Francisco answered my calls and emails without delay and tried to help me as best as possible. After the reconstruction project was completed in June, he followed up with me to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. In July 2023, Francisco went to my home to assess the damages and provide me with solutions until Luis took over as the estimator for this second home reconstruction project. I appreciated that Francisco answered my call and my questions and provided me with a realistic expectation for this new project. I highly recommend Francisco Covarrubias and Bill Howe for your plumbing and home reconstruction projects. I’m very grateful for the whole team's hard work! I’d give them 10 stars !

Honestly we called Bill Howe to check out plumbing in our new home purchase after we closed escrow to see if we need to do any snaking to improve drainage. While that tech (Alex) was out, we talked about our hot water heater. They sent out a tech (Tris) who focuses on that and had really amazing information preparing us for that phase. Then in that conversation he mentioned that he saw a few things that he’d recommend fixing right away. He scheduled the service with the office and another tech came out (Brian) right away and took care of everything super fast! And then the first tech mentioned they have a remodel dept when I started talking about remodeling our bathrooms. So now we are having them back out to discuss that. We’re super impressed with them.They had the ability to give us estimates on their tablets right there onsite. We paid right then for the services. Loved receiving the text messages saying who was on the way with their photos. They are super efficient. They worked to not be intrusive in our home as they installed new Daikin heat pump/condenser AC, FAU and Mini-split systems along with replacing all our old registers with bar type registers. This is the 3rd time we have called Bill Howe Plumbing for new faucets and water line hookups for 3 different areas in our house. Every time the service and professionalism has been outstanding!! We have a new construction house and the original plumbing installer was always “too busy” to come back and do faucet and water line installs for parts which were delayed in arriving due to supply issues. Bill Howe Plumbing was very responsive and arrived within 48-72 hours, or less, of each call. Darryl was our Technician for 2 of the visits and ran into issues which required creative problem-solving. We were certain the job might not be completed due to these issues. However, both times he completed the job!! We were very happy and will continue to call Bill Howe Plumbing!

Had a main line back up in my house I just bought, my home warranty company suggested another plumber which had terrible reviews and didn't call me to schedule so I hired Bill Howe instead. Tony came out and quickly removed the clog and recorded all my lines with the sewer cam. The company my insurance chose didn't even call until 4pm that day, almost 24 hours after I called them and an hour after Tony had solved the problem. Sometimes it's better to pay out of pocket to just get it done right by a company that actually cares about their reputation for good service than wait for the insurance low bidder. I live in a large, older apartment complex. Many trees and shrubs. Roots penetrate water and sewer lines and caused a huge problem for me. Bill Howe Plumbing sent out a very competent, professional gentleman named Chris. He and two others from Bill Howe worked hard for several hours to resolve the problem, which was complicated by previous poor work done by others over the years. Repairs were made and past mistakes corrected. These fellows worked efficiently and were professional, meticulous and pleasant. My experience with Bill Howe was fantastic. We had a standard sink clog that we needed to get cleared ASAP. The technician, Scott Bonilla, called and texted 20 minutes before arriving letting me know that he would be able to be 30 minutes early to our appointment. When Scott arrived, he was kind, informative, and quick to solve the problem. Once the drain was cleared, Scott stayed to ensure there were no further issues, checking for leaks or potential backup clogs for 20 minutes. I would highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing and specifically Scott for any plumbing needs.

I had a leak in a pipe between the main and the house. Got a new pipe installed. I worked with Dave from Bill Howe Plumbing. They replaced the existing plastic pipe and put a new copper one. They had to dig quite a bit, but were cognizant of the landscaping and made sure things were brought back to how they were. Since the work was scheduled a few days later, Dave helped route the water from the main over a ground pipe for a couple of days.

Disaster! 6:30AM, toilets backing up into bathtubs! Called Bill Howe; problem fixed before 9AM. Doesn't get much better than that. Nice guys, explained everything; gave advice in case we had a recurrence beyond the warranty.

We woke up to cold water coming out of the hot water faucets. In the basem*nt, our 10 year old gas water heater was leaking. What a mess! I phoned Bill Howe. They said a plumber would come to our house that morning. Around 9 a.m. Bruce Hammonds arrived. He sized up the situation and discussed it with me. In 2 hours, a new gas water heater arrived. My kitchen sink was stopped up. My appointment was at 11, or earlier if something became available. Josh arrived about 8:45 following a text he was on his way. Hooray!! Josh was perfectly pleasant and professional. He did a great job of snaking the drain, keeping everything neat. He made recommendations for preventing the nasty grease buildup in the future. I'm an older single woman and so often the older woman is a target to be taken advantage of. I have no worried with Bill Howe Plumbing. I feel I can trust them and I know their service is above and beyond what is expected. I can't go wrong. :-)

We selected Bill Howe Plumbing to install a tankless water heater of our choosing. Their service was Excellent with a price that’s hard to beat. They didn’t add un-needed extras like the other bidders did. In regards to the installation, Eric was knowledgeable, friendly, answered all our questions and was highly professional.Bill Howe will be our plumber of choice from now on.

Juan Lopez 964 is excellent. He was professional and friendly. He did a great job. This is the third time I’ve used Bill Howe plumbing with my home and my mother’s home. I’m extremely happy with the service. I highly recommend them.

I paid over $250 to finish plumbing under my kitchen sink. I removed the garbage disposal myself. All I needed was the plumbing to be finished. The so called technician couldn't finish the job. I had to make a trip to Home Depot to finish the job. The company did contact me after this review and apologized. They did refund me 25% of the cost for me to finish the job. I do appreciate that.

Bill Howe has always been my go to for all things plumbing because everyone who works there is genuinely happy to be a part of the organization! From the moment the dispatcher answered the phone to the time Chris walked out the door when the repair was completed, the professionalism and great attitude was apparent. Work was completed on time and was well done. It would have been nice to receive an itemized bill at the time of service. Did not receive complete bill until one week later. The plumber was here for 1.5 hours. We were told the labor cost was $169 per hour. We had a water pressure regulator replaced for $350 with one hour of labor charged. We were charged $1200 for a comfort valve installation with labor cost of $269. We do not understand how an extra hour of labor was added to our bill.

Great professional and friendly service, from booking to post repair. The technician Jackson, was fast and efficient. We have used Bill Howe before and have always had a nice experience. The technicians are always well trained, clean and polite.

Chris showed up on time . He was efficient and finished the job quickly without leaving a mess to cleanup. I have used many plumbers in the past but Chris has converted me to Bill Howe for life. Thanks for a job well done!

Our bathtub drain was backed up and we spent all day trying to get it unclogged. After much wasted effort, we called Bill Howe and they came out same day. Their technician, Chris, was great and quickly resolved the issue for us and we were able to shower again! The price was industry standard and great customer service.

I couldn’t be any happier with my new in-line water heater installed by Bill Howe! Making the appointment online was super easy, and within 24 hours I had my old 40 gallon water heater replaced with a Rinnai unit which is way more efficient and money saving! Gabriel was a total pro and cleaned up all debris and even took my old tank to recycling! Love BH!

Josh was very professional and early.Our kitchen sink clog was past the U-bend and my snake wasn’t long enough so we had to bring in the big boys. Josh cleaned it out in no time. He also told us to flush it out a couple times a month with a sink full hot water and dawn to help degrease the pipes. Little tips like that go a long way. Thanks Josh for taking care of us.

We have used Bill Howe a number of times for various projects around our home. We bought our house in December 2020 and have since had people come out to do the following: look at damaged floor beams from a leaking toilet, replace the toilet, hook up our gas dryer (including drilling out a new exhaust port), evaluate our leaking AC system, and replace the entire HVAC system. We've been impressed with the service every time.They are good about being on time, notifying us when they are on their way (which is helpful when you have dogs that need to get put away), and everyone is always very friendly and professional. I feel that everyone who has come out has taken their time to make sure that the job is done right every time, and they always answer all of our questions.A few times we have had people come out to evaluate something (such as the leaking toilet), and they did not charge us for the advice. In the case of the toilet, we had tried fixing it ourselves, the tech came out and told us he thinks it would be cheaper/easier to replace it, but he was happy to try to fix it for us if that's what we wanted. We were not charged for this and opted to purchase the toilet ourselves and then have someone come out to install it. There was no pressure for us to have Bill Howe install it, we felt we were encouraged to do whatever made sense for us (install ourselves vs. hiring someone).Recently we had the entire HVAC system replaced, which is not a small or cheap job. Our system was 20+ years old and leaking. We had it evaluated by Enoch and the recommended course of action was to replace the system, we were given a quote the same day. We were never once pressured to go with Bill Howe for the job. We thought about it for a few days and eventually decided to go for it, Bill Howe was able to come out the next day and did the job in 2 days. They were timely and professional the whole way through.Everyone we have worked with at Bill Howe has been wonderful, we will continue to use them for our projects in the future.

I received bids for this job from four different plumbing companies, Bill Howe was by far the best. They were responsive, helpful, and the most inexpensive. Doug, our technician, did the job quickly with a great attitude and high level of professionalism. I will be going back to Bill Howe for any other plumbing needs!

‘Brian’ our plumbing technician arrived at a specific time as requested. He was very thorough in troubleshooting the repair of our tankless water heater. Dan and Mark were knowledgeable and attentive to the problem. They went through a series of checks to ensure that the fix they performed was the necessary fix. Afterwards they clearly explained what they had done and how it should solve the problem. I’d definitely use them again!

Mike Reif arrived on time, was very professional and educational with diagnostics on our A/C, gave us a fair quote and recommendation. He arranged a replacement appointment as soon as was possible. Samuel & Yons, installers, were able to install 3 days sooner than expected, and it was a wonderful experience. They were very professional, explained what they were going to do for the install. Worked in an efficient manner, cleaned up as they worked, they were very polite and their work showed that they knew what they were doing. We enjoyed having Bill Howe Plumbing fix our A/C.

He went the extra mile with a bathroom faucet repair and returned later to install another new faucet. He is personsible and customer focused. The most professional, honest, and hard working home services company I've ever worked with. We had a pipe burst and Bill Howe's mitigation team sprung into action, immediately sending out people to dry out the rooms affected, worked directly with the insurance company, do the demolition and most of the repairs, and gave us honest and helpful advice and estimates for the entire restoration process. Always easy to contact with a main switchboard always available and direct emails and text messages to those involved. We had a couple of scheduling snafus and one portion of tile repair that wasn't up to our satisfaction, but Bill Howe gracefully and professionally responded to both concerns, and the rest of the project went smoother than I could have imagined an emergency repair in the middle of COVID could go. Huge thanks to Cassandra, Jerren, and Jimmy for going above and beyond.

I recently had an issue with my a/c. The service technician was knowledgeable and professional. He efficiently diagnosed and fixed the problem.

All I can say is that they are a Godsend. We recently moved to our new home. And our all our drains were not working. We called several plumbers and Bill Howe had the earliest availability. Tyair came ahead of time, was professional, took time to explain our options and was able to fix the clog in our main line. If I ever need another plumber I’m asking for Tyair. Great service and because of Tyair, we’re planning to use Bill Howe for restoration service. Highly recommend

Plumbing problems are never fun and seem to happen at the most inconvenient times. We were fortunate to have Louie and Roberto come to our rescue. Louie was a pleasure to work with, very responsive, and ready to answer any and all questions. Next time we are in need, we will ask for him. He clearly explained what our problems were and the associated costs for the repairs. Louie was professional and represented Bill Howe well. Roberto and his apprentice were hard workers. They came prepared and ready to get to work. When they were surprised to find 12 inches of concrete instead of the expected 4, long hours were required to make sure we had water back before they left. Although that extended the job, Roberto went above and beyond to finish as soon as possible. We appreciated that so much.
