Top 5 Pokemon Games You Should Play  - Palworld Gaming (2024)

There have been dozens of Pokémon-inspired games released since the franchise debuted 27 years ago; among the main series, there are numerous spin-offs of the game. There are plenty of games in the industry, but there is a specific franchise that has won the hearts of every gamer. I am talking about the Pokémon franchise that offers that experience from the last few years where amazing games across various generations have passed, even though the franchise is still popular. Such franchises have received such massive hits that today, choosing the right Pokémon title appears to be difficult.

However, this does not mean that you cannot choose the best Pokémon games for you. Even though the franchise has a plethora of titles, you can still encounter some games that say something different. For that concern, I tried to draw and find the best Pokémon games. Today in this article, I will be sharing some of the best Pokémon-inspired games that you can play. So, let’s take a closer look at this. Without further ado, let us take a closer look at these.

5 Pokémon game titles that every player should try.

As I said, there are a lot of games that define the Pokémon franchise, and they are best at their place. But based on some findings, I shortlisted five Pokémon titles.

Palworld

Pokémon is a survival game that is highly inspired by Pokémon. Even though the game is still in prompt access, there are a lot of things that make this game break many records. It is an open world that allows you to explore dungeons, rare creatures, bosses, and towns.

Many say this game is like Pokémon with guns. In the game, you can do many things, like catch pals, build a home base, and also use pals that you assign to do certain tasks, like farming or crafting. This is also the core of the game, as you continue to catch, level up, and level up to progress, which will unlock several new skills, items, and gear.

The game currently still needs to be released in stable, is not polished, and feels unfinished, buggy, or something. However, the developer claims the game is 60% done and will continue expanding to further improve the experience.

Pokémon Emerald

It is a successor to Gold and Silver, introducing double battles, abilities, and natures. It takes everything from the previous title and blends it into this game. It brought forth several worthwhile changes, and the top among them was Battle Frontier, which made for the most complete and rewarding postgame content in the series. With seven different frontier brain trainers to challenge across seven distinct facilities, it offered a serious challenge to trainers that hasn’t been met since. It is a testament to its enduring quality that even two decades after release, Pokémon Emerald stands as one of the best Pokémon games ever made.

Pokémon Conquest

It is a unique and unmissable Pokémon in a strategy game. Nobunaga’s ambition came entirely out of left field, but it works so astonishingly well that it finds itself among the best Pokémon spin-off titles out there. Environmental obstacles and positioning add an extra strategic layer to Pokémon’s familiar element-focused battle system as a strategy RPG.

Firered and Leafgreen are fantastic remakes, introducing numerous new features such as a recap of previous activities, a first attempt at wireless trading and battling, a brand-new area in the Sevii Islands, and all the massive improvements to typing, battling, and Pokémon moves that have been added in generations since. Red and blue may maintain a warm place in our hearts all these years later, but by far the best way to re-experience the excellent region of Kanto is through Firered and Leafgreen.

Pokémon Black 2 and White 2

Gen 5 was a revolutionary era for the Pokémon franchise and the first-ever direct sequel. The original black-and-white game set a solid foundation by introducing the Unova region filled with all-new Pokémon, a captivating story with an all-time great rival in N, and music. And then the sequels made it all soar to new heights.

The story builds on the events of the first game, offering an epic and hard-earned payoff to the overall narrative. And visually speaking, black two and white twos take full advantage of the Nintendo DS hardware to deliver breathtaking 3D vistas, dense cities, cinematic bridge traversals, and intricate details throughout, not to mention black two and y twos.

Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

They expanded on the first generation. Pokedex added two new types that significantly balanced out the weakness resistance chart and famously included the entire Kanto region as a bonus to players who beat Johto’s Elite Four. Later, Crystal took those games, added an option to play as a male or female trainer, animated Pokémon sprites, and enhanced the story with a focus on Suicune.

Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver took those original games and made them even better in every way possible. Updating the graphics, including several core and quality of life changes from the Gen Four games, created an experience that we can, definitively say is the best Pokémon has ever been.
