I found my first 4-Leaf Clover 🍀 of the season yesterday! However, luck has nothing to do with it. I have a bit of an unfair advantage. I have 3 moves to find one if not multiple 4 leaf clovers at a time. 1) An easy way to spot a 4 leaf clover in a patch is to look for a square-ish shape in the center. The white of the leaf forms a triangle on a normal 3-leaf variety but will create a square-ish pattern on a 4-leaf. 2) Clover grows and spreads via a vine / creeping stem. So if you find a genetic mutant in the bunch, look closely around that same area and you are likely to find more. (my record is 9 in one sitting) 3) Consistency. I've made a habit of glancing down at clover patches for the fun of it. I do it multiple times a week when I'm in the garden or playing in the yard with the Kid-o. This significantly increases my percentage chance of finding them. Whether it's finding that four-leaf cover or your perfect prospect. You have to manufacture the win. Create the strategy and executive with consistency. Marketing & Sales is a numbers game at the end of the day. You need to show up with consistency in order increase your percentage chance of finding and closing new clients. This could be via ads, organic work, or ABM, SEO, you name it.Running ads for 1 month isn't going to turn the tides. Sending 2 emails and a text isn't enough anymore to close new deals. Evaluate your marketing & sales plan through a "forever" lens to figure out a way to manufacture an endless stream of touchpoints. ^this is no quick win. It's more of high-yield savings account. It stacks up over time and begins to compound quickly. P.S. I save and give away all the clovers I find 🤗

I'm excited to announce a new collab [DigitalMarketer x LinkedSelling]We have just inked a deal to join the DigitalMarketer Faculty Partner Program to deliver some high-quality LinkedIn training and content. A few years back Ben Kniffen and I flew down to DM headquarters in Austin, TX and recorded a 3hr live training session on our playbook. (you can still find that in DM labs)We're excited about the chance to collaborate with the DM team once again and look forward to cranking out some great pieces of content for the community. We already have some stuff in production, so stay tuned! #digitalmarketing #linkedin #linkedinads

The LinkedIn Audience Network (LAN) is currently comprised of 1,398 websites/mobile apps and 1,563 CTV placements for a total of 2,961 points of distribution through this "network." This is a mix of household brand name sites and streamers, along with some oddball stuff. So, it is easy to see how this traffic source can get watered down in terms of quality results. One way you can rein in the results is to use the "exclusions" function of LAN via the "Brand Safety" section. You can download the full list of publishers and pick out the ones you want to keep and the ones you want to exclude from seeing your ads.Do you want to only show ads to CEOs in tech via Hulu or Amazon because you know they all watch Silicon Valley? You can do that!Just blend LinkedIn Ads targeting with your exclusions list on LAN.The concept is the same for websites you know your prospects visit more than others. If you have the budget to test and play with this option, go for it. However, if you're in a spot where you need to make every dollar count, it may be best to avoid LAN in the beginning until you stabilize the rest of your ad ecosystem.*You can find the full distribution list for all placements in the "Brand Safety" section of your ads manager.

👀 Did you see it? The new 2024 B2B Benchmark Report by LinkedIn is out. Tequia Burt and the team crushed it. This beast is 99 pages, but here's the TLDR & a quick take video review:✅ The report focuses on where the industry is shifting and the 9 types of marketing team personas that are key to a growing org. ✅ Marketing departments plan to hire and rebalance roles while using more AI✅ Brand Marketing efforts are getting a budget increase in 2024 for a majority of orgs. (it works, so why not spend more on it?)✅ 82% of Marketers say they can demonstrate value to the C-suite via their tech stack , but the marketer of the future has to come ready with data skills.✅ 10% of these 2,000 orgs surveys say they have no alignment between marketing 7 sales (I bet that number is higher) ✅ Most teams expect to get more budget as marketing becomes more a proven profit center. ✅ Orgs spend more time an money on client acquisition than retention. (they may want to think on this some more) ✅ Pipeline growth is top priority, while measurement of metrics is the lowest on the priority list lol ✅ 38% say they are under pressure to prove ROI in too short of timeI may need a TLDR on my own post lol. There is so much more good data in there. Give it a read. What did you think of the report? Any stats stand out to you that I missed? Link to the full thing down below.

I ❤️ human-written copy. However, I'll give some points to our AI overlords. 🤖 We always start our campaigns with some well-researched, human-crafted copy that then gets tossed around the morning meeting and refined by the team. Once we get some ad spend into the campaign and see what is working, then we'll bring in AI to whip up some quick variations off of our best stuff. I also love some of the AI images that I see out there. They are great for crafting a unique visual that can dive a point home that you may not have been able to find / craft on your own. (Stay tuned, we'll be doing some hover time tests soon and releasing that data) At this point in time we are still a "human-centric" org with some light AI support (love cGPT for Google sheet formulas) Do you use AI at all in your day-to-day? Let me know down below.P.S. I've considered letting AI build an entire campaign for me and documenting it. I'm talking about everything from picking the lead mag to the campaign setup to see how it would do. Would you be interested in seeing that?

🎉 Today marks my 9 YEAR workiversary, and it has been a ride. For a long time I chased titles, pay raises, and a bigger office. I started at a desk next to the bathroom and worked my way up to a nice wrap-around mahogany desk with a view in a fancy corporate building. Since then, I have shifted to virtual full-time and I've come to realize that what I have truly been chasing this entire time is flexibility and happiness. So grateful to work with a group like LinkedSelling that makes this possible. I'm able to maximize my time with my wife & daughter, while still crushing it for our clients. I'd gladly trade the city views for a laptop on the floor with my kido anytime. Here's to what's ahead. 🍾 🥂
