Briefly describe your job… what do you really do at EL?
As a Learning Architect, I don't just build bridges of knowledge; I construct entire learning landscapes where adults can thrive and grow. Collaborating closely with SMEs, I action-map projects and leverage Agile Methodologies to manage projects with flexibility and adaptability.
But I don't stop there. I develop job aids and supplemental materials, including timing guides and literacy-aligned resources. When it comes to crafting scenario-based e-learning courses using iSpring, storyboarding scripts, recording videos with Camtasia, or creating Pendo guides, I’m always pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Whether presenting for CODiE awards, managing resources in SharePoint, orchestrating the design of dynamic workshops and webinars, creating visual outlines in Visio, or contributing to Captain’s Checkpoints design, I'm committed to creating empowering learning experiences.
What do you like about working at EL?
The leadership at EL is exceptional, providing guidance and fostering a positive work environment. I value the opportunity to collaborate with peers and work alongside cross-functional teams, which enhances my learning and broadens my perspective. EL also provides opportunities to contribute to high-impact projects, which are both fulfilling and challenging. Overall, the collaborative and supportive atmosphere, coupled with the camaraderie among colleagues, makes working at EL a truly rewarding experience.
What's the most seriously fun thing you've ever done?
Hiking in Glacial National Park, Montana, and keeping an eye out for bears was seriously fun... and seriously nerve-wracking! Every rustle in the bushes became a potential bear encounter, and every twig snap sent my heart racing faster. Perhaps I hoped to engage in a battle of wits with a bear, armed only with my charming personality and a flimsy twig. "Dear Bear," I'd probably say, "have you considered the benefits of a plant-based diet?" Thankfully, I'm here to tell the tale, leaving me to ponder whether my stick-waving skills would have been effective or if the bears of Montana simply decided I was not a worthy opponent.

Future, for sure! I want to fast-forward and see if we finally have flying cars or teleportation pods. Plus, I'm dying to find out if we've cracked the code on time travel yet.
How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse? Why?
Based on my extensive experience watching Zombie movies, I’m confident I could survive a bit longer than a popsicle in the Sahara!
Chemistry or Biology
Choosing between Chemistry and Biology is like picking between being a wizard and a healer in a fantasy world. Both are cool, but who wouldn't want to be the master of potions and spells in the lab? So, my preference is Chemistry!
