Materials
Worsted weight yarn (I used Caron Cakes – for the full sample I used Strawberry Trifle & for the video I’m using Buttercream)
H/5.0 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Pattern notes & stitches to know
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
hdc 3rd loop – work hdc into 3rd loop (back horizontal bar) of hdc
sc 3rd loop – work sc into 3rd loop (back horizontal bar) of hdc
popcorn – 5 hdc in same stitch, pull hook out from active loop, insert hook in first of the 5 hdc, pull active loop through the first hdc
fpdc – front post double crochet
v stitch – (dc, ch 1, dc) in same stitch
shell – 5 dc in same stitch
·written in US terms
·ch 1 does not count as sc
·ch 2 does not count as hdc or dc
·ch 4 counts as dc + ch 1
·This pattern starts in the middle and working outwards in joined rounds.
·There are a couple sections that I color controlled. For the majority of the blanket I let the colors flow. I will note in the pattern when I controlled the color

Ch 4, join to first ch with sl st to make a circle
Round 1: ch 2, 12 dc in circle, join to first dc with sl st (12 dc)
Round 2: ch 1, popcorn and sc in each stitch around, join to first popcorn with sl st (12 popcorn, 12 sc)
Round 3: ch 2, dc and ch 1 in each stitch around, join to first dc with sl st (24 dc)
Round 4: ch 1, sc in dc, sc in ch-1 space, *fpdc in next, sc in ch-1 space, sc in dc, sc in ch-1 space* repeat from * to * around, to last 2, fpdc in next, sc in last ch-1 space (12 fpdc, 36 sc)
Round 5: ch 4, dc in same stitch, skip 1 stitch, *fpdc in next, skip 1, v stitch in next, skip 1* repeat from * to * around, to last 2 stitches, fpdc in next, skip 1, join to first ch 3 with sl st (12 fpdc, 12 v stitches)
Round 6: ch 1, *sc in dc, sc in ch-1 space, sc in dc, fpdc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first sc with sl st (12 fpdc, 36 sc)
Round 7: sl st to next sc, ch 2, *shell, skip 1, fpdc, skip 1* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (12 fpdc, 12 shells)
Round 8: ch 1, *sc in 2 stitches, sl st in next, sc in 2 stitches, popcorn in next, sc in 2 stitches, sl st in next, sc in 2 stitches, popcorn in next, sc in 2 stitches, sl st in next, sc in 2 stitches, (popcorn, ch 2, popcorn) in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first sc with sl st (16 popcorn, 48 sc)
Round 9: ch 2, *hdc in each stitch to ch-2 space, (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in ch-2 space* repeat from * to * around, hdc in last stitch, join to first hdc with sl st (92 hdc)
Round 10: ch 2, hdc 3rd loop across to ch-2 space, (popcorn, ch 2, popcorn) in ch-2 space* repeat from * to * around, hdc 3rd loop in last 3, join to first hdc wtih sl st (92 hdc, 8 popcorn)
Round 11: ch 1, *sc 3rd loop in 17 stitches, skip 1, shell in next, skip 1, sc in popcorn, popcorn in ch-2 space, sc in popcorn, skip1, shell in next, skip 1* repeat from * to * around, join to first sc with sl st (76 sc, 4 popcorn, 8 shells)
Fasten off.
Weave in the ends.
