Prismatic Warlock Supers

Destiny 2 Prismatic subclasses let you mix and match abilities at will, and Warlocks have some of the strongest ones. Prismatic Warlocks carry five impressive Supers and can easily pick one corresponding to their preferred playstyle.

Conjure Jolting Arc barrages, freeze enemies where they stand with Stasis or wield Void in all its destructive might. Mixing Light and Dark, Prismatic Warlock can create a unique, adaptive build for any situation. Offering sound crowd control or inflicting hefty boss damage, Prismatic Warlock can truly impact any fireteam’s success, making this class the strongest in Destiny 2.

The first Prismatic Warlock Super you can utilize is Nova Bomb: Cataclysm. You will be able to equip this monstrous Super as soon as you unlock Prismatic! Wipe half of the adds in a room or inflict devastating damage on a boss; The choice is yours!

Winter’s Wrath is the other Super you can use at the start of the Campaign. It’s one of the best add-clear Supers and a solid choice for PvP!

Another classic Super will be able to be unlocked throughout the story of The Final Shape, and that is Stormtrance. Like Winter’s Wrath, it is one of the best Supers for add-clear and a terrifying sight in PvP.

Needlestorm will also be on the table for your Prismatic Warlock Builds! This Super does staggering damage to bosses, and if used in a pinch, it will put in some serious work in the add-clear department.

Wrapping things up, the all-new Warlock Super, Song of Flame. Song of Flame is Radiance (from Destiny 1) 2.0. When Song of Flame is activated, your solar abilities will be overcharged. Your grenades will transform into projectiles that seek out enemies and detonate multiple times.

Your melee abilities will have more projectiles as well. When used, nearby allies will also receive a Solar weapon damage buff, and their Solar weapons will apply Scorch with every shot! With Well of Radiance receiving a devastating nerf, this Super will likely be used frequently!

Prismatic Warlock Aspects

Before I go over the Aspects Prismatic Warlocks have at their disposal, there is a crucial piece of information you all need to be aware of. All Prismatic Aspects will now work with other subclass keywords. For example, Feed the Void will activate on killing any ability kill, not just Void ability final blows!

Feed the Void is the first, and arguably best, Prismatic Aspect for Warlocks. Not only will you have access to this Aspect as soon as you receive the Prismatic subclass, but it will also work with any ability final blows!

The second Aspect you will have immediate access to is Bleak Watcher. This, coupled with Feed the Void, would work incredibly well, as Devour grants grenade energy on any kills you get with it active.

An exciting Aspect you’ll be able to earn throughout the campaign is Lightning Surge. An upcoming buff means Lightning Surge’s slide melee will provide increased damage resistance when used in The Final Shape. Note that Prismatic Warlocks can equip Arcane Needle as their melee ability. Lightning Surge alongside three melee charges? I’m already on board!

Weaver’s Call will be another Aspect you can incorporate into your Prismatic builds. On-demand Threadlings can prove helpful in PvE and PvP alike.

Lastly, the brand new Warlock Aspect, Hellion. Hellion is essentially Arc Soul, but it’s Solar. Casting your rift will create a new Solar Soul that will send out pieces of itself toward enemies, detonating and scorching combatants.

Prismatic Warlock Abilities

Class Abilities (All are available immediately)

When you acquire the Prismatic Subclass for your Warlock, you will, from the start, have access to all 3 class abilities: Healing Rift, Empowering Rift, and Phoenix Dive.

Melee Abilities

One of your starting melee abilities is Pocket Singularity. Send your enemies flying while making them Volatile!

The other accessible Prismatic melee at the beginning of The Final Shape is Penumbral Blast. With the introduction of all the new Prismatic Fragments, instantly freezing enemies will be a huge deal.

Incinerator Snap will be a devastating melee ability you can utilize with Prismatic. While it has a short range, it usually ignites any enemy it touches!

Chain Lightning is another ability set to receive a hefty buff next season and conveniently will be available for Prismatic Warlocks. Chain Lightning’s chains will deal significantly more damage moving forward!

Last but not least, we have Arcane Needle. They deal some impressive damage and spread Unravel, but that’s not why I’m excited. As mentioned earlier, run this melee ability with the Lightning Surge Aspect to unleash three back-to-back Jolting slide melees

Grenade Abilities

One of the two starting grenade abilities you’ll have is the Coldsnap Grenade. Like Penumbral Blast, on-demand freezing will always be handy in PvE or PvP.

The other option at the beginning of The Final Shape is the Vortex Grenade. Vortex remains one of the best grenades for area denial!

Storm Grenades will be another fantastic addition to the Prismatic Warlock arsenal. Note that Storm Grenades are getting a massive 20% PvE damage buff!

To no one’s surprise, Bungie blessed Prismatic Warlocks with Healing Grenades! Nobody can complain about instantaneous restoration.

Lastly, Prismatic Warlocks will be able to utilize Threadling Grenades. These grenades are incredible for add-clear and terrifying in PvP. Seeing three Threadlings appear out of thin air to chase you is beyond unsettling.

Prismatic Warlock Transcendence

Transcendence, a new feature in The Final Shape, introduces two meters above your Super meter when using Prismatic: one fills with Light damage or debuffs and the other with Darkness damage or debuffs, while Kinetic damage fills both.

Once both meters are full, you’ll be able to Transcend, unlocking a new grenade that deals Light and Darkness damage; for Warlocks, this is the Freezing Singularity, which deploys a black hole surrounded by slowing ice on impact and then implodes, causing heavy damage and suppression.

Transcendence also boosts grenade and melee regeneration, increases weapon damage (stacking with other buffs), and provides significant damage reduction, with melee attacks during Transcendence further accelerating grenade regeneration and vice versa.
