I have a report that is based off of the "Current User" as I am not shared to the underlying sheet. This report is housed on a Dashboard. The Widget is pointing to the "Dashboard Viewer", HOWEVER when I am looking at the Dashboard - there is no information showing, which is incorrect.

If you have an Enterprise or Premier plan the new WorkApps solution recently released in preview would maybe be perfect for this use-case.

Hi Jenna,
For any report, you need to be shared to the underlying Sheet(s) referenced in that report to see the data. The Current User feature is intended to adapt to the viewer of the report and show them only line items where their name is listed in a specified contact column.
If you/your organization wants to share users to a sub-set of Sheet level information without Sharing the full Sheet, the options are:
- Hide the columns in the Sheet that should not be seen, Share the Sheet to users as Editors (Admins can unhide columns). This is not fully-full proof, it will also allow users to use Reports.
- Publish the Sheet with appropriate editing settings, and give users the link tot he published Sheet with appropriate data hidden.
- Get Dynamic View Premium Add-On, this is the best option but comes at an additional annual cost.

Thanks @Andrée Starå, I think WorkApps is a great start for sure. However, I stalled on using it because click-through reports off of metrics don't seem to work.
