To make: Use fabric paint to paint hearts on the top and sides of sneakers. Tear a long piece of fabric into thin strips and thread through eyelets.

Tie Dye Gym Bag

Kids will love making and toting around books or gym clothes in this DIY tie dye bag.

To make: Start by washing a 100% cotton tote bag. While still damp, fold the bag in half. Using a chalk pencil or disappearing pen, draw an exaggerated heart on half of the bag, starting and ending at the fold. Pleat the bag, lining up the heart line (once pleated, the line should be straight). Use a zip tie or rubber band to hold pleats together. Create more pleats along the remaining bag, holding in place with zip ties or rubber bands. Place different color dyes in separate squeeze bottles (you will need as many colors ass pleated sections). Start by squeezing dye on heart section stopping 1/2 inch from the zip tie. Continue dying, using another color between each zip tie. Allow to dry completely, then remove tie.
